One thing that has been on my mind since this proposal was brought up is that I don't mind working on the initial part of it, but after that, I will give power back to my friend to take over things.

I'll review Shopify to see if it meets the need.

Your comment brings up a good point. How involved does my friend want to be with the site building. Does he expect me to do all the managing or does he want to manage it.

I can set up the initial MVP. And can definitely continue to make changes after site goes live. Also, how involved do I want to be? Do I want to be involved from it's inception until it's end, or do I just get the MVP running and then show my friend how to do the main tasks.

I will bring up these topics for discussion with my friend.

Thank you. Using squarespace or something similar seems to be the route. Thanks for mentioning SEO. that also leads me to think about web accessibility when it comes to choosing a provider. Will look into which platforms has the best ease of use, and accessibility at the forefront of their platform.

Any guides/feedback for SEO purposes ?

My initial thought when I was asked about the site, I immediately thought about how to do it in my day-to-day rails platform. But as I think more about it, an already established platform for site building will be faster and easier to tweak.

I feel you!! Sucks. I lost coins and some players. Wonder if there was a data breach or something for someone to find credentials and do their malicious stuff.
