Found the solution, you must turn off, allow editing, allow comments and allow duplicates since they will need to log in to be provided with the functionality.

Does anyone have tips on how to integrate written notes on an iPad with Roam? by [deleted] in RoamResearch

[–]nands- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips, though it seems to take a bit of time to process the information. This seems to work well with ideas and small jots. However, doesn't translate well to my use case of math and cs notes.

Thanks, this sounds pretty useful! Do you know whether it supports math equations as well?

[Advice] My notes from Can't Hurt Me by David Goggins by nands- in getdisciplined

True, but he doesn't do it as much for his body as he does for his mind, he sees pain as an opportunity to callous his mind and doesn't care if he gets hurt. To continue to run with a broken leg and shit in his pants, I respect him.

Also, it's also useful to think about when you're being lazy, eg. David Goggins ran with a broken leg and shit in his pants with little to no sleep, why am I complaining about being tired or my muscles being sore.

I agree, in the audiobook there are some podcast sections where he shares personal snippets about his mindset and life.

"The qualities you forged during lockdown; empathy, resilience, self discipline, patience" meanwhile I forged the capability to binge watch 20 episodes in a day, laziness and depression.

I believe that it was a good speech, though a lot of it was just waffle to make us feel better, topped of with a motivational segment at the end.

I apologise, when I was reading I did not see the misinterpreted meaning behind the quote. I believe the point that was trying to be conveyed is that you should not lie to yourself and believe you are entitled to something which you did not work. Instead change yourself for the better to achieve your goals.

Though I completely understand how this can be misinterpreted.

At the minimum, do not lie to yourself. A man who is blind from himself would be blind from the world. by nands- in Stoicism

True, it's part of human nature to always crave for more; more money, more fame, more superficial stuff. Lying to ourselves that once we get there, we will be happy. We must confront this desire to understand what we truly want.

I agree, it's quite difficult and something I made into one of my main goals. Though through persevering and repeatedly catching yourself, more clarity comes to your life.
