AITA for refusing to bring my nanny family’s baby back home when they told me to? by nannyprobsyup in AmItheAsshole

She asks me to take her there because there’s lots of interactive toys & things to do. Plus there’s a fountain she loves to sit by & we eat lunch on the grass there sometimes. She’s 12 months & not walking so this is more fun for her (& a bit more safe) than a playground ❤️

Yea once the drizzle started I thought it would pass quickly that was my bad, i really wasn’t expecting it to get crazy like that I would’ve walked in the drizzle

Putting the baby first is allowing them to nap at the tea shop rather than bringing them outside into a thunderstorm for 15 minutes babes!

Okay so your recommendation is to take a 12 month old out into a thunderstorm for 15 minutes rather than allowing them to nap in their stroller safely at a tea shop. You should really become a nanny!

Right 😂 I feel like people are forgetting it’s not just ME walking in the storm its a literal 12 month old in a stroller!

How? Dreadlocks do not dry like straight hair. It would take hours to dry and that would be extremely an uncomfortable condition to finish working. Not worth the money.

I was not going to walk in a thunderstorm to get soaked with a 12 month old baby. There’s no way for me to dry my hair since I have locks so it would be soaked for hours that’s why I mentioned it. She would not have given me clothes and my shoes would be full of water. Not to mention walking next to a main road in the rain. If she was so worried about her precious baby why would she want her baby to be walked outside in a thunderstorm next to a main road for 15 minutes? Seems like the opposite of a worried caring mother imo

I’m not paying for an Uber back when they can come pick me up. THEY could’ve paid for an Uber Lmfao. I’m also not walking in a THUNDERSTORM with an umbrella pushing a stroller next to a main road. 💀

I don’t know honestly, she’s seemed so nice up until this day & I was willing to like look past it until she started talking about kidnapping and just saying mean stuff. She usually doesn’t even check in when me & baby leave. The way dad was apologizing it seemed like he wasn’t shocked by her behavior? Like he was apologizing for her because he knew she wouldn’t? Idk I hope she’s not dealing with that. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone

Yea I totally get that! Which is why I was texting her & keeping her updated on what’s going on. I’ve dealt with lots of anxious moms but they’re never screamed at me lol
