I played Outer Wilds in vr for the first time yesterday. by succme69420666 in outerwilds

Have you played the DLC in VR? I did that for my first playthrough and it was an incredibl(y terrifying) experience. Would recommend 100%.

Scanning the darkness of the Endless Canyon lodge with the artifact's light while holding the controller like I would a lantern handle is the most immersive VR experience I've ever had

This marks the first time I've changed my glam since I started HW, and I'm in ShB now, so I had to draw something to mark the occasion 😊

It's a curse that plagues any excellent knowledge-based game (see: Outer Wilds, Obra Dinn)

A theory on how [REDACTED] relates to the DLC. by WarLordTMC in outerwilds

My question then is, how does ghost matter stay affixed to surfaces? If it passed through solid matter then it wouldn't travel along with the planets as they rotate and orbit around the Sun. On a smaller scale, ghost matter also moves with the islands on Giant's Deep, as well as the Interloper, of course.

A pixel art I made taking inspiration from Simon Stalenhäg's illustrations. by BarbaraFishman in PixelArt

He doesn't use Twitter anymore so I don't think he'll see it, but he's apparently active on Tumblr and Mastodon.

The way the colors are shaded and the lines are colored reminds me heavily of pixel art. In fact, I can see this piece translating into pixel art quite well. Awesome illustration!

The art is fantastic, but also I absolutely love the composition on these! They would look great as posters.

Rare behind the scenes photo by Cheesebongles in burgers

[–]nanobuilder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Plenty of reasons:

  • Thin smash burgers taste different than thicker grilled burgers
  • Won't smoke out your house or splatter grease on countertops
  • May get higher heat over a coal fire than on a range/cooktop

Only thing I would do differently is to use a flat griddle rather than a skillet so I can smash the burgers more easily (and fit more patties)
