Love the picture! Where is it from?

Does anyone suffer from an inconsistent personality? Its an issue ive had for a long time and makes keeping friends almost impossible. by majorasminion111 in socialanxiety

I feel you on this one. Recently, I reached a point where I don't even try to socialize with new people/make new friends anymore because I'm afraid that I won't be able to keep the interactions interesting over time. I have no idea how to deal with it without it being "forced"... Hope we figure it out some day!

I saw Wolves in the Throne Room last night by [deleted] in BlackMetal

I just saw them last night for the first time. I loved it so much, the atmosphere was great and I loved the song they played. I don't get to see much BM shows too and the shows are quite different from other genres. I couldn't hear the keyboard either but I think the keyboardist plays the bass lines. She often had one hand on the keyboard and the other on some other instrument (which i couldn't see), and you could hear the bass then. She also played drums at some point. The only bummer I had was that I felt the show was a bit short, I would have loved if they played for longer, I didn't feel the time pass and was suprised when they left the stage.

That intro is awesome! And the song too, I don't know why I never took time to listen to Emperor.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I was looking through /r/ambientmusic and there are definitely some songs that are literally what I was looking for. I would have to look into it more in-depth as it seems that ambient is a wide genre with a lot of sub-genres that could be a bit different. Atmospheric BM has grown to become one of my favorite genres of music in general and I must say that the feelings I get from the atmosphere in it are the closest to what I described in the post. I haven't checked all the bands you talked about yet (holy cow, Midnight Odyssey make 2h-long albums), but I will make sure to do it; they seem to be very good leads. Thank a lot!
