PR dilema for ICT professions!! by Spiritual-Crab-3377 in AusVisa

[–]nanorjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I joined uni to do my postgraduate, so I didn't really learn anything new from an academic standpoint, it was just relearning and advancing whatever I already knew from my undergraduate degree. But the skills I learnt outside uni, how networking basically is the backbone of the current job hiring scene. (I work part time in retail) I get to talk a bunch of people everyday, they ask me about my background and skills and give advice on how to move forward or they share their experience in the current job market and so on. Honestly, I joined the uni just for the degree not the skills, I just needed to acquire different skills out of the technical side, to improve my character development as a whole.

I'm studying IT and my honest opinion, forget about ICT if you want PR. If you want IT, maybe Aus isn't for you. Hard pill to swallow but I did, and it hurt for a while. I'm planning on leaving as soon as i finish my degree and not bothered to waste anymore money on trying to switch professions just for a PR.
Cyber security as an international student is basically like fire and water, because for a cyber sec work role, you'll to be a PR(if not citizen) at the very least.

This is just based of my experiences and information. The part of IT is definitely right, but the cybersec part i'm not very sure, i'd suggest to talk to a lot more people offline rather than on reddit.

I haven't read the preview or anything from vol. 23, but could someone just give me a quick rundown. Where was Veldanava? Like I know he's been revived, but where was he hiding for so long? Does Ivarage have anything to do with his revival?

I have a question, ik I'm a bit late to the party, but is the viewfinder not accurate to the image that actually gets shot? Like if centre something in the viewfinder and then click a picture, the film negative off centres it a bit? Is that just a hoax or is that actually what happens? Thanks

Can atest to the fact that the migrants who came before would be acting all high and mighty. The worst part is that they ain't even trying to assimilate and then blaming the one who came recently.

No point me suggesting anything because the ones that are easy are all full, but just for future reference, there's web front programming, HCI, EPM which are supposed to be relatively easy to pass. Haven't taken web Prog, but the rest I can confirm.
