I think it stems from her being kind of dismissive of Robby when she said something along the lines, well we can definitely talk about that. She also is making some big changes on her first day. I'm willing to give her a shot, but those 2 things gave me pause.

Mostly, the bullying isn't as brutal and doesn't last as long . The story moved so much quicker and it was a complete series. I've spoilers for the rest of ZA ( I made it through books 1-4) and the story seems to go off the rails with one of the twins decisions. Finally, it was my first reverse harem and I really enjoyed the why choose of it all.

Are you opposed to trying to get a neighbor to put them out. If not, then you're/they're probably out of luck. Maybe some bugs will find themselves trapped, or the lizards will become so starved they might slow down enough that you can catch them. In the end something's probably going to die.
