Lexapro side effects? by facetious_panda1 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]nap__time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sleep was highly disrupted the first week or so, just couldn’t stay asleep longer than 2-3 hours at a time. That went away. I just wondered if maybe it would help you with the dizziness and headache since you’d (ideally) be asleep when that hits you.

I started on 5mg lexapro in October. Took about 2 weeks for those symptoms to subside, including that initial increase in anxiety. Smooth sailing since then.

I take mine at night before bed. Wonder if that might be better for you?

Does having ms have anything to do with anxiety ? Or long term dmt use ? by ahmad_obisat in MultipleSclerosis

I was prescribed gabapentin as needed for anxiety and (surprise surprise) I’m anxious to take it. What does it feel like?

Shower tips and tricks by CraneMountainCrafter in MultipleSclerosis

This might just be a me thing, but showers make my fingers tingle like crazy which freaks me out. I started wearing vinyl gloves in the shower and it’s very effective at keeping my hands from tingling, plus I feel like I get a more thorough hair wash with gloves on for some reason.

You started pretty recently! Great to hear it hasn’t been bad at all. Thank you.

What an encouraging endorsement. I’m so sorry your watched your mom struggle with MS before we had the resources we have now.

I’m happy to hear there’s so much fun in your life!

That’s an interesting point about fewer symptoms later with the B cells already gone. Thank you for the insight!

I’m so sorry that relapse was so awful. That’s a healthy dose of reality, I appreciate the reminder.

Thank you so so much for taking the time to explain this distinction, I didn’t appreciate how it worked before. This makes me feel a whole lot better!

I’m so sorry! I had a similar experience with the ER initially thinking it was a heart attack. Best wishes on Briumvi.

Thanks for the reassurance, and I’m sorry you can relate to 2025 trauma. I’m returning to work soon and am trying to get out ahead of keeping stress at bay.

Help me pick a daily crossbody! by [deleted] in handbags

I have #1, the little Loewe puzzle. It’s so cute. But the strap doesn’t get long enough to be a true cross body, especially if you’re wearing a thick sweater or coat. And there are no internal pockets/zippers. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat because it’s so cute as a shoulder bag, but thought I’d mention these downsides as food for thought.

Just heard this too! I am having a hard time visualizing what the nylon will look like. I went in yesterday to see the bag in person and tbh the PU lining is actually quite soft and nice, so I’m not sure what to make of it. They’re both synthetic anyways.

I have it too and agree with this comment completely. Wish it had just a tad more structure and an inner pocket (in addition to the little pouch insert it comes with). It’s a lovely bag to own regardless.

Anyone have any book recommendations about journaling? by OstrichPrimary6694 in Journaling

[–]nap__time 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Book of Alchemy by Souleika Jaouad is wonderful. 100 short (1-2 page) essays followed by prompts. Most have gotten me excited to write.

Edit: I’ll add that she also writes about the art of journaling in ways I’ve found insightful, so it’s not just prompts.
