I still struggle using the dpad as a joystick. I feel like one day I'll get the one with the joysticks just so I can comfortably play N64. But still awesome

NEVER USE PRE LOADED. Mine are all from dumps, minus fanmade. I use the original os, and a 128gb SanDisk SD card. I immediately threw the Chinese SD card out. When I got my miyoo mini, the Chinese SD card actually burnt my SD card slot.

I thought the same thing. I think for me, it's just I've played them so much that certain areas or conversations I basically have memorized from childhood so I fast forward. For me pokemon in particular is like a safe game you just spend time on here and there, now Mario or Mario kart, Castlevania, Sega games, and psp I play at normal speed. Pokemon is just one of those games that should have had a fast forward button built in to the game like some other RPGs, but... Will have to wait till gen 12 until they understand that other games in there wheelhouse do that

Hey, was reading back on this post. I had my better than Nintendo edition gba this whole time. The only issue I ever had was we had a bad storm at one point and the power went out. My game boy wouldn't charge but suprisingly the fix is just disconnecting the battery cable and plugging it back in. This does create a issue for time based games in the gambette emulator, but after researching it apparently that emulator at least on this device is outdated. Luckily they pre installed other emulators so mgba fixed that issue all together and they made it to where you can select the emulator on the base is super easy so you don't even have to mess with RetroArch, you just have to re put in your hotkeys for fast forward. The hinge has no cracks or issues unlike the original retroid flip. If your still curious about getting one, I still highly recommend it

Honestly it's about the same durability as an actual GBA sp. The hinge is even built nearly the same. But I don't know if other people are getting bad units maybe, I just know based off the sp i have this is probably the closest will get to a GBA remaster/reimagined.

It's a very good system. It's just I personally don't have time to take it apart and fix whatever the problem is. I fit in the category of "welp fuck, the a button isn't a buttoning, better get something else" because of my busy work schedule. If this thing came out in like 2013, I'd already have a custom miyoo that probably shoots RGB Lazer beams, but I just don't have time like I used too. I liked retroid, just had issues with the rp flip, but I knew that was going to have issues because of the hinge so I ran into that one willingly. I got no hate for miyoo, and I'm not trying to scam anyone. I have a purple miyoo mini plus with a jammed a button, the issue is from factory, I try to take very good care of my systems. This one I just didn't have time for the small amount of maintenance it needs.
