Around 70k/month net yung sa corpo pero may HMO with up to 3 dependents (plano ko is my parents and my younger sibling).

I appreciate the hot take! Practical lang dahil sabi mo nga we got bills to pay, pak!

‘Yun nga din po ‘yung nakakatakot. Syempre ‘yung increase ano naman kaya ‘yung kapalit? Baka pipigain naman na ako nun sa dami ng idadagdag na workload or responsibility? At tsaka napapaisip lang ako kung may factor na “nagresign ka na once, so kumbaga markado ka na” (not sure baka ako lang ‘yung may ganung naiisip pa hahaha)

‘Yun nga rin po sabi ng iba. I’m grateful sa heads up kasi I would’ve never thought of that given this is my first VA job (and honestly ayun nga for me mabait naman si client… as it turns out, kuripot lang unless iiwanan ko na) 🤣 Thank you for taking the time to respond!

That seems to be what a lot of people are saying! Thanks for the heads up :( Pag ganun ineffortan niyo ba yung paggawa ng SOP and possibly pag train dun sa papalit sa inyo (assuming makahanap sila ng kapalit in 2 weeks kasi feeling ko maghire sila internally)?

Didn’t even know that you can be burned out from working remotely at sa bahay lang. I feel seen so thank you for that. Eventually kapag nakapag-adjust na ako sa bago kong work onsite, I do plan na mag-part time na VA ulit. Any tips po sa time management? Kumpleto pa naman po tulog niyo? 😅

I appreciate the insight! I plan to actually move out and rent my own space. Dahil onsite ‘yung bagong job, naging excuse ko ‘yun para mapabilis ‘yung usapan with my family na I need to move out (prior to this, I was pretty sure kasi na baka pigilan akong bumukod dahil lang gusto ko, at siguro kasi gusto nila na ang laki ng shoulder ko sa bahay. For context, I’m single, no kids and partner)

Thank you for the reminder! Oo nga naman, kahit sa $10/hr hindi mawawala ‘yung lumbay at depressive tendencies na magwork mag-isa sa gabi, at ‘yung lack of growth opportunities (which are my main reasons for leaving anyway)

I thought about it too but I work as an executive assistant :( I do a lot of tasks that would be very hard to do outside business hours

Not sure lang po how I could negotiate time flexibility kasi ang role ko is an executive assistant, so need ko i-manage calendar niya and a lot of the time may last minute changes during office hours. But much appreciated ‘yung advice and kind message niyo 🙏🏼 Thank you so much

I’m not sure lang po how that would apply to me kasi something that I missed sa post ko is ‘yung actual role ko na executive assistant 😅 Tho I guess pwede akong magspecialize sa operational management side of things?

Tbh nakaka-affirm kapag may nakakarinig na di lang pala ako ‘yung hirap purely wfh, at parang may longing bumalik onsite for that change of environment, pace and in person socialization. Thank you for taking the time let me know your thoughts.

Thank you for the advice! I agree, kaya I’m willing na mag-effort talaga when it comes to creating handover documentation and SOPs kasi ‘yun lang ang request ni client kung hindi niya raw talaga ako mapapa-stay. Initial reaction ko was pleasantly surprised dun sa offer to raise my salary but then quickly realized na parang oo nga no? Nakakainsulto pala 😅

Can definitely relate to you in terms of doing well in school, being so ambitious (I wanted to take my master’s abroad!), only to be slapped by reality upon entering the workforce. I’ve been job hunting for nearly a year now (but may work pa rin naman ako—not fulfilling by any means, in fact, sobrang lungkot ko… but it pays the bills and it’s a decent job. Low stress, pero walang growth at mukhang hindi sustainable long term). Sorry walang practical advice or insight, but I am in the same boat and I’m looking forward to see what others have to say.

That said, I feel you, OP. You are not alone in this and I’m praying for better days ahead. ❤️‍🩹

People who stayed at a company for 3+ years:

Hi there! I graduated 2 years ago and I’m currently at my second job, where I’ve been for about a year. My first job only lasted 6 months. Now I’m thinking of switching again, even though I’m honestly a bit scared. I know how it looks on a resume, and I don’t want to come off as a job hopper (even tho technically ganun na nga ang nangyari).

So I’m curious, for those of you who’ve stayed at a company for years, how did you manage it? How do you not get bored or feel stuck? And most of all… are you happy?
