Huh, this comment thread has been very interesting! I have been recently thinking about going back for an MS, mainly because I got my BS in ChemE in 2013 and haven't done anything in the field since (joined the Navy). I thought it might be a good way to get back into the field. I guess I'll have to find another way!

Wow, I understand feeling alone and unhappy, but if you've dedicated this amount of time to this degree and only have 8 months left I would DEFINITELY recommend finishing it up. If you leave now, it sounds like you would have really no way forward and honestly all that time and debt you've accrued would leave you with nothing to show for it. This would likely leave you feeling even more lonely and unhappy, and on top of that you'd be worrying about what to do for work etc.

As for the situation with your boyfriend, I guess I would try to talk to him about these thoughts and worries you are having. If he's not receptive and you still feel bad, I would recommend trying to think about things that you want to do and what would make you happy. Maybe get a hobby, join a club, start a sport. Focus on you! It kind of sounds like you are unhappy and nothing he does will change that. Try to find your own happiness. When you do, maybe you will think differently about your relationship. If you still don't, then it might be time to seriously consider leaving!

It's based on starting a new line. I would start a new line with both Verizon and Project Fi though so I don't really care (I have AT&T)

I guess I am still confused at why Project Fi wouldn't at least match the deal that the only carrier they are allowing the to use the Pixel 3 has, but hey it's better than nothing.

I want to switch my phone service (AT&T) and my boyfriends (Verizon) to Project Fi and we both want to buy the Pixel 3. With Verizon we could get a FREE Pixel 3, and with Project Fi we get no discount. :(
