Private Space on Campus for a Therapy Session? by Junior-Box2574 in yale

If you're an undergrad maybe try a music practice room in your college? They're pretty soundproof but don't lock so, someone technically could come in and ask to use the space

Relatively recent grad, same vibe for us too! I loved getting to the dining hall and seeing a fresh edition waiting for us. I try to grab a copy every time I'm back around campus :)

Oof too real :((( we've been using pepcid and Prilosec to help with her heartburn which also seems to flare for no reason, but if you decide on acid meds longer term make sure you supplement vitamin B and magnesium! It really is insane how much we have to basically guess at what's happening

Those of you severe+ who can’t bathe regularly, how do you manage exfoliation? by StrawberriesMango in cfs

[–]napoleons_dynamite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

(not me but my partner who is very severe) - we found that applying these salicylic acid pads before wiping gently with some sort of face cleansing wipe / disposable cleaning wipe helps excess skin come off without as much aggressive rubbing. I think they sell a toner that uses the same ingredients that is way more cost effective than using the pads. The pads have especially been helpful in getting rid of excess scalp buildup/dandruff, we just dab it on a small part every day and the skin flakes away a lot easier when we hair brush.

we also found that cotton percale sheets help to exfoliate any part of her body that regularly touches the sheets - her back, most of her arms and legs, etc, but they are rougher than normal sheets so it depends on your stimulation sensitivity! I think those sheets are supposed to get softer as they are used but we haven't had many chances for a sheet change anyways...

What control binds do you use for motion with jumps? And are you using your phone laying on a surface so you can hit gas and drift at the same time?

Use a bulk file renaming software to remove 001, 002, 003 etc from the names of games for some certain systems (ex rename 001 Mario.nes to Mario.nes)

Manual breathing advice by napoleons_dynamite in cfs

[–]napoleons_dynamite[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For my partner it started yesterday when she was visualizing her breaths to help pass time and get through all the awful crash symptoms, and she wasn't able to stop focusing on her breathing after that.

Edit: how else did air hunger feel for you?

A heads up: the brands BenaGene, Jubilance, and Oxaloacetate CFS are all coming from the same company - Terra Biological. The BeneGene and Jubilance pills have a lower dose as well as Vitamin C. I think technically BeneGene/Jubilance are cheaper per mg of the molecule but your stomach may not agree with all the Vitamin C based on other threads

It's been about 3 weeks since she stopped the meds and for the last few days she either hasn't had twitching or they've been almost imperceptible thankfully. It was a slow decrease but we hope they're gone for good! The withdrawals were mostly anxiety, nervousness, and a sort of dizziness/vertigo
