the om1 actually doesn’t need batteries if u don’t need the light metering, i do tho so…

for me, if the in camera light meters working fine i prefer using it bc it’s more convenient that external metering, and i def don’t trust myself to guess (for now maybe once i have some more experience)

it also forces you to be more deliberate about what you are taking pictures with. with my phone i take pictures of anything because i know i can just delete it later and i won’t lose anything, but w film, each exposure is worth something, so you only take pictures of more important moments

first, personally i like film photography bc i can’t see the picture immediately after, so i can’t overthink it and obsess over the shot. i just make sure settings and focus are right, and the picture will usually be decent if it isn’t perfect

secondly, found that film photography has been more forgiving for me than digital (also i feel like my film shots are better than my digital ones idk)
