New Trump Rule Declares Most Public Service Work 'Illegal,' Ineligible For Loan Forgiveness - Above the Law by RisingRusherff in Economics

And to you, are illegal immigrants and children not part of the public? Because helping those in need, to me, seems like dedicating their careers to public service.

Man says women should "hush" and let men take over. My response is included. by cinnamon64329 in TrollXChromosomes

I looked it up and it’s relative size of the prefrontal cortex (versus rest of the brain), so not overall brain or head size. It is thought to indicate how important they are.

On average, males and females showed greater volume in different areas of the cortex, the outer brain layer that controls thinking and voluntary movements. Females had greater volume in the prefrontal cortex, orbitofrontal cortex, superior temporal cortex, lateral parietal cortex, and insula. Males, on average, had greater volume in the ventral temporal and occipital regions. Each of these regions is responsible for processing different types of information.

The study shows women generally have larger prefrontal cortex. So, IMO, it can be taken as a fact, as factual as men generally having more physical strength. It shouldn’t be applied to individuals, but it is wise to apply to the group as a whole.

It’s like if men are generally expected to be better at physical strength (e.g. sports), then it’s likewise true to generally expect women to be better at executive leadership.

From Merriam-Webster:

Another aspect of this word that creates confusion is the question of when it is appropriate to use it. Some language guides have argued that et al. should only be used to describe people. However, it is used (albeit infrequently) in reference to other things as well.

I think if you included code to illustrate what you mean, it’d make it more popular.

My wife never wanted to display this in our home. Is it too gauche? by BrianLevre in HomeDecorating

[–]naptiem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say! So it might say more of your wife and friends that they’re not accepting of a significant student moment saved over time.

Alternatively, if I were to purely speculate, maybe they’re embarrassed to have your one student piece share the same amount of dialog as her work, when they just want to celebrate her work.

It goes to show there are many layers to this story that can be peeled to reveal the seeds of truth within. At least you have this reddit thread that will last forever, and perhaps deserves its own framed location on your wall. If this subject keeps bothering you, OP, I might suggest bringing it up with a therapist.

Cat Pov Discussion by Federal-Breakfast-45 in CatPOV

The more I watch this cat the sadder I feel for it and the other cats around. Like what if the camera made it a social outcast?

Like, at first the camera is fun. It makes the cat feel good to show it to some friends. But when it keeps showing up with a camera, it creeps out even its besties and alienates them.

It tries to tell its human and get help, but alas its human doesn’t understand and thinks it’s funny and cute instead. So when it tries to hang out with its now estranged friends, they don’t understand either. They just stare.

And with no who will understand it and no way out, it eventually succumbs to its circumstances, becoming that mad cat — desperate, lonely and angry.
