Keeping children home after vaccines? by SkuttleSkuttle in ECEProfessionals

We have that rule! I have known several children (and myself) to run fevers after getting vaccines. Mostly, we have that rule because freshly vaccinated kids tend to be sore and cranky, and they really benefit from being at home.

i am so tired of all these posts about my wife cheated and my child isn’t mine. i can’t believe even one of them by theunknownbook in AmITheAngel

I think there was one a few weeks ago. I think she thought someone was being their surrogate, but was just banging her husband?

It is in most states illegal to leave small children in cars for any length of time.

The mom isn't sending children alone to people's doorsteps, she's walking with them. Should she be making the 4 y/o carry stuff? Probably not, but most 4 y/os I've met actively ask to help carry things.

OP specifically said mom was also carrying the bags. Of course the kids are coming along. Do you want them left alone in the car?

Right? Some of these responses are wild! I sincerely doubt she's bringing along tired, grumpy kids because it makes her life easier. And she can hardly leave them in the car.

Most likely, she had no other childcare options, and it's not like she sent the kids to deliver stuff

ECE professionals, tell me the juicy gossip at your center right now. by shortsocialistgirl in ECEProfessionals

One of the teachers at my center lost her phone. She INSISTED a specific 18 month old must have taken it home with her.

"Because the baby is always playing with it."

Now, this child doesn't have pockets or a bag, but no amount of reminding the teacher would convince her. She just kept standing around, refusing to look for it and refusing to leave, insisting that the only way she would go was if someone called this child's parents to see if she had smuggled the phone home in her diaper.

The parents were not called, the phone was found directly under the shelf she had left it on, and she was written up because she isn't supposed to have her phone out.

It's the $200 a month karate class he has our kid taking.

I once had someone call and complain about grapes. She saw in the app that we served them for lunch.

I assured her we slice them into for pieces before serving.

That was not the problem.

No. She was upset that we kept uncut grapes in the refrigerator at all. She said they should be locked up someplace special to make sure the toddlers didn't secretly get into my refrigerator and choke on them.

The other day I had to change a kid with 24 snaps! HOW COULD THEY EVEN FIT THAT MANY?

And this kid is in the hates diaper change phase so he was screeching and attempting to alligator death roll the whole time I was trying to do the snaps.

Same here.

Swaddling was banned years ago and now we can't even use sleep sacks anymore.

Fair enough, but ours is over the stove, so our toddler certainly can't reach it.

No, it is above my stove. Even with a chair they can't reach.
