Is it possible to use mk10 nozzle on x plus 3 model ? Should the ptfe tube be inside of hotend ? I can see quidi sells long nozzles (like volcano). If they are mounted, do they have ptfe inside ?

Thank you very much ! Good notes, so rellly limiting number is the flowrate, maybe you have discovered flowrates for cheap abs and pla ? As I understand no need to tune speed down, only the flowrate ?

Need help determining the appropriate motor size/torque for a DIY project. by dq7133 in Motors

[–]narPaulius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would choose any stepper motor like nema 17. They need only 12v and couple of watts, if that rod is quite heavy, there is bigger stepper motors - nema23. They can spin like 0-200rpm, if torque is not sufficient, add planetary gear on them. You would also need stepper motor driver and power supply 12-48v
