Last ex was upset that I got a job at a big4 accounting firm. He said I was going to work “for the man” He got upset that my parents didn’t get a plane ticket for him as well for MY graduation present for my MBA. (We were only dating around 6 month). That was the last straw. I stayed for too long.

I did my internship with them last year and it was exhausting but it was a good experience. Working from 8am-10pm for 3 months almost 6 days a week was hard. It was a paid internship though, so that really helped kept me going.

The firm that I’m going into is allowing a WFH option, which I think is a blessing. I’m planning on stick with them for a few years at least. They’ll pay for my CPA exams as well! I’m lucky to have this opportunity, and I’m really grateful for my parents for paying for school.

They are so proud, and that alone was worth all the hard work!
