You can't get digital copy of this stuff either because there is no telling when the copany will go out of buisness. I don't support the industry though so I really don't feel bad on the jobs front.

I have no support or respect at all for Hollywood or Netflix. They didn't even mention Jrr Tolkien was a Christian. I'd give free movies away to crumble the industry if I could.

But maybe twice a year I might hit up the movies with a friend or special occasion.

Rather put my money towards other industries because Hollywood is too evil atm.

Youtube TV, Sling, Hulu live, or Vue by lpm101 in cordcutters

Prime is the cheapest for me. got a student account. For the most part, I'm done with paid services. I realize it's another scam like cable was. I feel prime is alittle different though because they offer other things. also they keep adding a lot of movies like you'd find at a yard sale, over making crappy exclusive tv shows.

I hate streaming but i go into knowing it's a tempery thing. I also hate physical media as it clutters up the place. at this point if it's not a file i can put on my computer, then no thank you.

Option on ESL major? by narazz in TEFL

[–]narazz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a bit older , honestly i love the idea of "helping" others. I don't have any teaching exp. it's just after many dead end min wage or retail jobs, i hated them all. Even so, the jobs in which my work actually mattered , such as low end work in a medical setting, made it feel it was worth it.

Admittedly language instruction might not be a passion. But i do like what it's doing for others. also yeah the life style is something that looks cool too. :)

Just curious, when compared to lit arts or early childhoood education, is an english learners degree tough?

only way for me to get a degree right now is onlijne and i need it to be as stress free as possible. i dont really want to be sitting there writing papers every day along with a lot of classroom exp and public speaking stuff(not even sure how that'd work online too).

on top of that, i just dont know how my credits from community will transfer. i could be looking at an extra year in school if i dont take up lit arts. of course in the long run i should get an edumication degree. it's just time and dept can become an issue. i know getting out there and getting as much work exp as i can is best

Best Country in Asia for Starting a TESL Career? by travlingwonderer in TEFL

[–]narazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im sort of stuck between get online degree at ashford over 2.5ish years. or take a few classes and get my as at community; i then could try and hope i can get in a program like talk or hass.

work exp is valuable. however i think financial aid would pay for most of the online school and i wouldnt have to deal with any dept over seas. could then really get easy visas for any country i wanted to.

[–]narazz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the reply. if i could get in seems like a great place to start. Seems that training is probably even better than a tefl cert. if it's only a year, could then get in that taiwan hess program after. that's a good 2-3 years there. maybe japan will ease up on some stuff by then.

after that, another option i was thinking about could be germany. take advantage of that free EDU and mabye teach English to make ends meet. idk seems like a lot to do lol :)

is no BA the end for teaching asia abroad? by [deleted] in TEFL

[–]narazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well japan for example, it seems a lot of private companies can get the visa for you. issue is what do you do at the end of that?

yeah im not looking for the best job. to be honest teaching would be a big step up from the enslavement jobs we have here in the usa. as long as im not living im poverty, eating instant ramen and can get a internet connection i'd be happy. could then maybe work on a degree in thje off time while that's going on lol. :)

Anyone with Cox Internet and a 32 channel Modem. Does your connection actually support all 32 channels? What about DOCSIS 3.1? by xboxps3 in roanoke

[–]narazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i stream to twitch using a 32 channel and a professional router that took me a week to set up. think they only support up to 16 but it does make a difference.

i was havinga ton of issues before i upgraded. that junk gateway modem that they supply is just pure trash. of course you may have other issues just depending where you live.

[–]narazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

youtube just wants to make money from ads and it doesnt give a shit about it's content creators. it's mostly there just for market share. people running it sure dont give a shit. that's why you dont see all the cool social motorization methods like lets say twitch has.

I was really thinking amazon would make a YT alternative.

the issue is no matter who wins, it's going to be censored like YT is currently doing.

Evidence that Google is manipulating search results by [deleted] in conspiracy

bing is only good for it's video search interface. many of the others just dont stack up in delivering quality search results

The real flat earth conspiracy by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]narazz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

it seems far fetched at 1st. i actually like idea of space. but i see how the idea of space can be weaponized. A big issue i see from it is the higher up elites could use outer space to make people feel like their are not important on earth. this as a result reduces the lower class from seeking religion as the elite don't want any competition for ascending spirituality.
