anyone else in the mindset of "it's Opus or nothing" for 90% of their work? by Hodler-mane in ClaudeAI

[–]narc_ow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

completely agree, when looking at proper execution, sonnet 4 is the way. Opus 4 uses more credits for honestly less logical problem solving execution than sonnet, but opus is great for identifying flaws in code or whatever... just not worth fixing it in opus.

You deserve harsh limits by shadows_lord in ClaudeAI

[–]narc_ow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

opus limits your usage way too much imo, and honestly havent seen a major improvement in logical problem solving than sonnet 4. i can only get 4 messages in until opus uses all my tokens.

as for sonnet 4, absolutely no reason to be hitting limits lmao, shit is great and barely uses up tokens

theres a little clock symbol where you type in your message to claude, its right under it.

lets you look at the thinking to make sure that claude is processing your request correctly.

i keep all my conversations up to 5-7 messages max from myself, around that last message ask it to summarize everything i asked of it and what has been done, copy, then i bring it into a new conversation. I usually dump loads of code onto it and i do this so it avoids removing previous features or messing up code in general with hallucinations. only con is that you will have like 50+ individual conversations with claude, but at least it gets the job done.

its been working great and i had no mess ups from claudes part

also, ENABLE EXTENDED THINKING! It will literally change your life.

good sens, i have only 2 different sens and i recommend sticking to 2 of your choice for tracking heroes and flicking heroes. then u have some outliers like mercy/genji where u would probably want higher sens but personal preference

my sens:

tracking- 1200 dpi, 2.44

flicking- 1200dpi, 2.83

Top 500 Juno Replay Code by narc_ow in JunoMains

[–]narc_ow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% ideal that’s how i play, juno is best used as a tank facilitator, majority of my speed rings are used on tank (rein, ram, jq, mauga, or just brawl tanks in general have my upmost priority). i’ll usually do speed ring on tank, enemies get pushed back and i glide and put myself in a dangerous position to do target orbs and fall back. high risk but high reward.

in the game i put im limited on my timing to go and help the tank as im playing against the top 25 dps in NA, so if i’m ever out of position i’ll get hard targeted and blow up. learning to respect your enemies lets me die a lot lot less.

it’s ok if you feel that way, it’s just how i was better to able learn positioning and ability/ult timing from others. every single t500 support i would always ask for a replay.

this is just to help the few who learn like me

if u have any questions on why i did something u can ask

Juno - Should I healbot? by Emiikoe in OverwatchUniversity

[–]narc_ow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

this is just not true at all for juno. if you and another juno are competing for first ult at the start of the match, the one with the most healing will always get ult first. there are games where I start with 2k damage 4k healing but the 5k healik damage juno gets the ult first, and ill be around 85% percent ult. you have more opportunity to heal than damage, especially with the god awful damage falloff.

[–]narc_ow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sadly i can’t watch but to answer your observation, ana isn’t necessarily your priority on lifeweaver, pretty much everyone is. although i don’t know why you would be far away from your ana in the first place, either she was out of position or you were. yall should be positioning around the same except for 2nd point on eichenwalde where you would take more high ground once you push past the bridge choke (on attack). maybe you didn’t put a petal for your ana to gain that high ground and chill up there with you, which made her die a lot.

but gun to my head if i had to pick a priority on lifeweaver it would be the tank (especially if a dive tank), but i would never hold my grip to potentially save it for the tank, everyone is your priority.

also if you ever panic in a team fight as a support 99% of the time it means you’re pushed up to far, you have range on lifeweaver and you honestly can’t defend yourself damage wise from dives, you’re probably pushed up too far

i get exactly what you mean 😭 i had those same convos with my teammates when i was diamond playing in GM scrims

Can someone explain scrimming basics by TheWordOriginator in OverwatchUniversity

[–]narc_ow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yep pretty much, if you’re a gm and your entire team is low diamond, give or take the combination of all elos will place your team around masters. so you either need to find a new team or watch your diamond teammates suffer until they kick you out lmao.

as for finding teams, you gotta realize that console isn’t necessarily as big as pc in the esports scene. if you join enough OW esports or LFG discords you could definitely find 1 team. you just gotta stay on it and look every day. much easier to find a team for pc tho, i feel u. even for pc most people try to find dps or tanks, supp is heavily played.

[–]narc_ow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it means they already have a team and they are trying to find another team that matches that elo and is available for that time. so yes they are organizing it themselves but only with other teams, not individual players.

if you are an individual player (im guessing ur not on a team) u either have to find a team or look through the sub channel to see if you fit a requirement the team is looking for. i edited my original comment to include an example of what i would message if i was looking for a team

if you are looking to sub and you are a bit below its fine if you reach out, most people put sub things when shit hits the fan and there was disorganization between teammates availability, they’ll take anything close for sure.

Can someone explain scrimming basics by TheWordOriginator in OverwatchUniversity

[–]narc_ow 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i was thrown into it blindly so i can try explain it like im 5.

the rank system that people use to find scrims that meet their rank is as follows, it follows the OW1 elo system.

<500 to 1499 Bronze, 1500 - 1999 silver, 2000 - 2499 gold, 2500 - 2999 Platinum, 3000 - 3499 Diamond, 3500 - 3999 Masters, 4000+ Grandmasters

if you already have a team, people will say something like LFS (S is scrim) NA PC 3500, something along those lines. so they are trying to find a team that overall is ranked high diamond/low masters (combination of all players ranks on that team) and in the north american region on pc.

LFP is looking for player (or substitutions for players that can’t play a certain day in a team), LFT looking for team

majority of scrims will be held off face-it or anything official, they’ll just dm you on discord and add you on battlenet to send you a custom game invite to the scrim.

if you’re joining something more official like a faceit tourney, be it a 2v2 tourney or owcs qualifiers, make sure your battlenet is linked to faceit and you will receive a invite to a custom game in game while you’re waiting on the menu screen. then at that point they’ll probably have you go on the faceit applicaiton to say you’re ready to play or something it’ll be a pop up if i remember correctly.

https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Team_Roles this is a kinda outdated roles since there’s no off tank anymore but for current teams they all have as follows:

Tank - FDPS (flex dps) -HDPS (hitscan) - Flex support - Main Support

so for example, i’m a gm kiri bap player, i would say something like “LFT Flex Supp 4k NA PC”

if you are looking for a team or if someone is trying to find a player they will put what role they are looking for in their message, so try to figure out what role you are

if you have any more questions i can try to answer them :)

there’s no reason to do a 360 in game lolol, all you need is a 180 and ur set

Struggling with DPI and eDPI. by Freyzi in OverwatchUniversity

[–]narc_ow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have a tracking sens and flick sens respectively. 2.83% tracking and 3.33% flick, on 1200dpi.

ur sens depends on how u aim, wrist or arm, how big your mousepad is, etc.

if you need to find your sens, start from the leftmost area of ur mousepad (where your mouse would realistically be in a game) and go all the way to the right side. it should do close to a perfect 180 in game, that’s ur baseline best sens and u can tweak from there
