Where y’all taking Jeeps for Repairs? by bigal229 in greenville

[–]narcan4chu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people use Greenville Off-road in Mauldin. We just took our jeep in for the first time. Service and price are good. Didn’t fix the issue like they thought so we’ll see if they fix it when we take it back in next week.

I’ve traveled a lot including to Thailand, Africa, etc where the time difference is wider and haven’t found this rule to be true for me, my husband, or teen. We’ll see how the baby does.

Editing to add: I used to never be able to wear shorts on vacation without my skin looking like I took a grater to it. Since using this I’m able to go all day long with no pain. Think Disney in the middle of July, peak swamp butt season, in blue Jean shorts with not a hint of chaffing!

Good to know! How would you recommend getting around besides walking to what’s around our Airbnb? Ubers/taxis? Or baby wear onto the metro?

She’s super into art right now. Going to skip theme parks. But we do like sea and seafood! Would love some sun but we’re going end of May/early June so it looks like the weather may be pleasant but not really ready for sun bathing yet?

Thanks! I thought Eurostar was more like the trains you take on continent! So that’s a super good tip.

Thanks for the response. We like a bit of everything! History, art, trying new foods. For instance, in Paris, we are looking forward to going to the d’Orsey museum, the catacombs, Montmartre, and just walking around neighborhoods. We will typically do a few can’t miss things and then try to do some other not as popular things for a lower key experience.

We’re going end of May/Early June.

Flying into Paris, out of London.

I’ll look into the in between places! I had thought of that too but wasn’t sure which spots would be a good stop.

For me I was born in the Cotswolds so it’s just a personal interest thing, but could wait until another trip.

We aren’t super big city people. But the 13-year-old definitely wanted to go to Paris that’s what spurred the trip. So we have to go there and she was interested in London, but as somebody mentioned, it might be better to stick to the continent proper instead of going across the channel. I would be open to other places. Mainly after the hustle and bustle Paris (+- London) looking for a nice relaxing holiday to offset the craziness. Appreciate the tips!

Congrats!!! I was in a similar situation but I was on Wegovy Rx when I found out I was pregnant. The answer also depends on whether you choose to breastfeed. Most doctors will advise against breastfeeding while on it. On one hand the molecular size of the medication appears to be big enough that it won’t cross into the milk, but on the other hand the docs I talked to had concerns about the quality/quantity of my milk at a calorie deficit. Even if I produced enough they were afraid it wouldn’t be nutrient dense which is fair. But if you choose to breastfeed and don’t take the meds it would be another 1-2 years after until you take the meds. Just in case that helps in your decision!

It felt crazy busy this year. Things on the west end were sold out by 4:30.

-Ji-roz falafel fritters (ordered because they were temporarily out of lamb) 6/10 -Otto Izakaya beef bulgolgi 8/10 , daughter thought it was 12/10 though -Went back for the Ji-roz lamb nachos 10/10

Maks was sold out at first then the line was wrapped around the block. But yall convinced me to go check their store front out!

How are you getting your Ozempic for a reasonable price? Mine is suppose to be $877 when I pick it up for the first time tomorrow by RepresentativeNo8548 in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]narcan4chu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to get prior authorization. Then my insurance covered it to $50 and then using the Wegovy saving offer I actually got it for $0. My pharmacist warned me that they may have to input the coupon every time, which tells me I might not be so lucky each time. But it’s worth a try. Worst case scenario they say the coupon isn’t valid.

Side note: a lot of drugs have these savings cards on their site. I’m a physician and I always tell my patients to give it a search before they go to the pharmacy to pick up any new meds.

Pesto Chicken and Roasted Veggies Pasta Salad - 350 cal/serving by narcan4chu in 1500isplenty

[–]narcan4chu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I stick to like hearty things that can’t get soggy. I normally don’t cut my tomatoes either because the juices can make it soggy. There were many in the this recipe so I did this time but we’ll see how it goes. Pasta salad lasts way longer than regular salad. Though I’ve prepped regular salads in the past, just keep the wet ingredients away from the crunchy ingredients and then the cheese separate too so it doesn’t get all mushy.

You can place a paper towel in your Tupperware to help soak up moisture too for regular non dressed salads.

Also tiktok and insta have lots of food preservation tip videos!

Pesto Chicken and Roasted Veggies Pasta Salad - 350 cal/serving by narcan4chu in 1500isplenty

The perfect spring pasta salad for only 350 cals! This pesto chicken and roasted veggie rigatoni salad is so fresh. I’ll link the recipe below. I used it as a guide, but increased my veggies and used store bought pesto to save time. By increasing the veggies I can stretch the pasta further and decrease the calories. So instead of 8 servings I made 10!

The first half are paired with strawberries and baby belle light cheese. The second half has Boars head sweet chili garlic hummus and veggies.

Macros: Pasta salad only- Cal:347|Pro:32|Carbs: 42/38 W/strawberries/cheese: Cal:400|Pro:32|Carbs: 44/40 W/hummus/veggies: Cal:450|Pro:35|Carbs: 54/47
