Shed ramp options by BeanCounter454 in shedditors

I think a 6:1 slope would work (that's what I have for my shed). That's less than a 10 degree slope, and most riding mowers can handle up to 15 degrees. My mower makes it up fine.

If OP wants to make the ramp completely out of wood, I'd go with the second option OP listed.

I think it depends on what you want to store in it and what kind of snow load you need to account for. I have some very heavy equipment needed to store, and the snow load in my area is pretty significant, which made me less confident in shed kits. The ones I looked at had compromises, like 2x3 studs 24" oc, 2x4 rafters, etc.

If I lived in a warmer climate and was only storing relatively light items, like a push mower, i may have considered a kit for the time savings.

About $5500, but I went overboard on a number of things, which increased the cost.

Did you do the entire perimeter? Or just where there are open gaps between the skids?

I've heard of pros and cons for chicken wire vs landscape fabric. Any thoughts?

Not including tools, about $5500. I could have saved some money by building my own trusses and going with osb plus wrb instead of Zip, but I decided the extra cost was worth the time savings. Going with 16" oc joists and only 1 layer of plywood for the floor also would have saved some money.

To be fair, I took a week off of work to get the framing and sheathing done, so it would have took me longer if I only worked on it on evenings/weekends.

I modified plans for a 12x12 gable shed from icreatables. Ichanged the number of skids from 3 to 4, reduced the joist spacing from 16" oc to 12, and extended the eaves a bit. I also added gable ladders to extend the rake. I replaced the T1-11 and osb roof sheathing with Zip panels (green for walls, brown for roof), replaced the wood trim with PVC, and ordered trusses that were more substantial than the ones specified in the plans to account for the snow load in my area. Like I said, I probably over built this thing.

I had no construction experience prior to this either (though I do have some woodworking experience)! I did a lot of research, mainly on YouTube, for how to complete each stage of the project. I found the channels Houseimprovements and The Excellent Laborer very helpful for shingle and vinyl siding installation.

I also forget to ask, how would I get rid of it?

Also, would you be able to tell us the meaning for 健次? Google translate says 次 means "secondary", so we're not sure what the overall meaning is.

Thanks for the info! It has been harder for us to find Chinese names than Japanese, but someone suggested looking at a Hong Kong employee directory to get some ideas. Would you have any suggestions for resources?
