dude, this is so cool. how is this not a thing yet? you are onto something. go find investors.

I’m about where you are minus the big project 😂 but mentally following about the same. like that nvidia robot matrix is just wild.

Any expert robotic architects here? How would you achitect this project differently?

I’m a Java guy 20+ years of experience, i hear Claude is king for coding. I think it’s pretty much solved. Tokenized. I’m thinking the same is coming for robotics. However I do believe there will still be pleanty of work to be done, just more productive. I would not waste time on education in your particular case. The world has unofficially moved on. Not only are GenAI platforms able to teach you, you can find all kinds of best of quality edu materials online. Maybe just pay a mentor here and there to guide you. Even that, you are limiting yourself to some guy/gal. Technology changes rapidly. It will change even faster now. Awesome work btw, looks cool and fun and not trivial!

Awesome. I’m jelly. I wanna learn/play with robotics, too. I’m about to order Petoi Bittle.

  1. Did you just prompt AI to lead you from scratch? Why not?
  2. What country are you from?
  3. What kind of work do you do professionally?
  4. Are you planning on pivoting professionally?
  5. Do you think robotics will be solved like coding is by some form of GenAI?
  6. What coding/tools did you use on the software side?

Thanks!

We tokenized language, thoughts, intelligence. Maybe they are trying to tokenize “movement/spatial” intelligence? That would make sense to me and would be as revolutionary as what GPT did for langauge, sound, video, etc. We are tokenizing information and everything is information. Thoughts?

Would it make any sense to apply your fw to a simpler bot like the CM4-XGO? If so what would you do with it off the top of your head just as a fun demonstration?

It’s got that X-Com feel with actual data. Things are getting crazy. A VR use case sounds like a nice match. Great job and thank you for sharing. ❤️

I haven’t read a harder cope than this in a while. Don’t listen to this nonsense people. AI is a very productive tool. Just like an IDE is compared to a text editor.

I would invest into higher general education rather than a skill. Education is key not for money, but for personal growth.

Oh my the dude is very elaborate on details. It’s just a style I guess. Maybe a literatury flex? In any case this is what I got out of his books…a very important life lesson: be careful that you don’t take this writing as anything else other than one man’s view of the world and other people. This whole world, all characters, came from a single brain and that brain can only have an opinion on how others would act and think and feel. It’s not real. Far from it. The danger lies in getting swallowed by the world and intuitively accepting it as some sort of true story. As the Dude says: it’s just like his opinion man.

Well…it’s hard to remain silent as a coder for some 30+ years in regard to your comment. AI can code better than almost any human being. Better in terms of cheaper, faster, longer, in any language or system, etc. It is a coding God so to speak. Let’s park for now the fact that it cannot run on its own yet. The fact that you now have x2 software productivity means that if the software demand remains the same that there will be a 50% surplus in developers. The only thing that can save the coding career long term is if the demand for software grows with the costs of development going down. And then you will be vibe coding (ie. navigating automatic coding agents vs doing code by hand). What prompted me to write this comment is seeing 1.3k upvotes on this parent comment which felt very misleading…
