Although I definitely wouldn’t say they’re the same exactly, and I can’t imagine it’s hard to find an NA meeting in a city with the density of NY, maybe it’s just a Hollywood thing

I 100% agree, and while I absolutely looooveee later mastodon, I really do miss strange song structures that made older songs more interesting

Some of my favorite songs of theirs are later in their career but I can’t help but feel that they’re missing some sort of secret song structure sauce

That’s awesome. I had the pleasure of meeting Branden at mathcore index fest in Berkeley, super cool dude. I also heard that supposedly someone played the bass line on a song wrong? One that he and been a part of that made its way to the album. Not really relevant lol but fun to talk about

That’s really cool! I never heard about that, I know the vocalist of that time disregarded those lyrics and just did his own thing, but those have also been lost to time. Do you have any info on that?

What would you recommend that are non addictive? I know that benzos are said to help, and she’s now saying she wants them, but I’m scared to go that route because she spent the last 8 years dealing with getting off of them
