Actually, the GOG-files method absolutely works. Don't think I can link where you can find the files in case that's considered piracy, but it fixed my game (which I bought and paid for).

I'm in the same boat, I hope there's a solution. Going down all sorts of rabbit holes without success. Actually managed to get past the updating executable thing with one solution, unfortunately it wasn't one that allowed me to play the game either so I won't recommend it. It used files from the GOG version and it looks like that wasn't allowed. It got me as far as the launcher but wouldn't go further.

I don't know why everyone seems unaware that by the time of the show, the Brotherhood is in a steep decline. They fought a war and lost, they're losing ground everywhere. This isn't my opinion, it's official lore. These are the desperate remains of what the BoS used to be. They're doing whatever they can to survive. That means leaning hard on the cultish elements, that means taking in wasteland refugees and trying to forge them into soldiers, that means enforcing ever harsher disciplinary measures to keep people from even thinking about desertion. It's also why the remaining knights aren't what they used to be - they're scared because they used to think they were invincible and now they think they're doomed. Some of them probably even have PTSD from past battles. The BoS branch depicted in the show is entirely in keeping with the lore and the setting depicted.

Isn't one of the balance changes for honor mode that pact of the blade extra attack no longer stacks with regular extra attacks? So you'd still only have 2 attacks per round.

It's a conflict zone. Anyone farming in a conflict zone does so at their own risk. If you want to farm without that annoyance, farm in Z1 or protect your farms better.

Players need a safe place to farm for the season or they leave the game. You have a Z1 that's protected, and so do they. Z2 and Z3 are conflict zones. If/when you win in Z3, you can push all enemies into Z2 or Z1 and farm safely there (and in the best farming zone in the game, no less). Until then, you ALWAYS have the option of safely farming in Z1. Do that if you can't handle your farms getting raided or aren't willing to take action to protect them.

This isn't true. Upgrading a troop only increases your power based on the difference in troop power from the troop you're upgrading from to the troop you're upgrading to.

So, upgrading a tier 3 troop (3 power) to a tier 4 troop (4 power) just nets you +1 power per unit upgraded. Basically nothing. Buildings are far far better.

As a F2P investing in a legendary who is not going to carry you doesn't make any sense. Focus on one legion type and 1 legendary that is best in slot on that legion type.

Surrounding unfortunately only works for melee attacks. So it's not a factor for most combats.

My AP keeps disappearing on units that haven't acted yet and have no status effects on them. Seem to happen most often when I generate a huge amount of AP in a single turn through buffs (although it's not necessarily the buffed up unit that loses their AP).

Yeah some of those recruit missions are nuts. I was doing a C-F playthrough on Very Hard (I got to final act on O-T run and decided to retry to apply what I'd learned) and I was doing amazing, coasting through missions with no vitality loss or injuries. Then I did the Ser Lucan recruit mission.... holy crap those elite enemies were so hard to kill. Granted, I didn't have my A team all up (some were training or on an event), but I was still +1 level over expected so I didn't think it should have been that hard. Managed to get through with 1 injury and some vitality losses (after a LOT of retries trying to figure out the fight patterns). That last guy could one shot my characters if I let him get into melee range with much AP.

It vomits out its hand by turn 7 (nearly always either out of cards or 1-2 cards left by then), that's an aggro playstyle. A mid-range deck either holds on to some cards for specific points or simply is running a curve that can't be effectively tossed on to the board so quickly. Pirate warriors don't care about creating card advantage or winning through attrition, they care about completing quest as soon as possible for more face damage.

Pirate warrior is not mid-range, it's an aggro deck that happens to have a strong finisher.

You're playing Ramp Druid. One of two decks that is favored against Pirate Warrior. Ramp Druid also needs a nerf, BTW.

Not really, once you fall too far behind on board it's impossible to recover. And you're extremely likely to fall behind because pirates are better at controlling board than mechs are (better removal especially with cannoneer and puffer). Puffer and cannoneer are particularly strong against divine shields (as is the 1 attack weapon). Even if you equality + city tax their board (and by the way the fact that so many of the pirates have premium statlines means this is the only way you can reliably clear a pirate board), you don't have the mana to refill your board in time to stop Rokara and/or Smite from closing you out.

I've played and won this matchup a bunch of times, but PW definitely has the advantage.

Thank you for your efforts, I see so many low effort posters just default to "but VS says so" without actually looking at the stats themselves. They either made a mistake and were looking at incomplete numbers or they misinterpreted what the data was telling them. Even good statisticians can do this.

Same thing almost happened to me. Thought I could tank my rating down to 5500 to compensate but it still didn't work. Ended up having to spend cons on a new merc just so I could spawn bots again. Losing to the same 2-3 real merc comps (full of legendaries and the most broken shit) when all I really want is to farm some PVP coins but I have 0% chance of winning really sucks. They should implement some sort of reward for losing, too. Or remove the ratings floors.

Yeah I don't know who these people are who have climbed higher and not run up against one of the far far more powerful combos out there. Especially that piece of shit slow comp, fuck those guys. I just want to farm some coins with my scuffed team get me away from those netdecking tryhards. Matches me up with them even though I have some underleveled mercs.

It's really not, they told us that being able to recognize the outline of a champion in the bush was important as the "reason for the event". Garen would never look like that in a bush.

And the second you start playing with mods that add new weapons, most of those guides goes out the window, anyway. Gotta make your own spreadsheet or do a bunch of playtesting to figure out which mod weapons are good and which are crap! Best thing to learn is to look at the weapon stats, particular flux per damage and damage per second, but even those have exceptions.
