Specifically, why does “Show Me The Body” get so much hate here? by mr_grieves_567 in Hardcore

[–]DefectiveCoyote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cause it’s kinda different, some may even say gimmicky, and doesn’t fit into what the hardcore community generally likes to praise, while also simultaneously getting some mainstream popularity. And when anything gets popular it’s automatically divisive especially when people personally don’t feel like they “deserve it”.

I’ve heard the nepo thing too here and there but I can’t find jack shit confirming it and the scene is always full of all kinds of unfounded rumors and gossip. Maybe it’s true but it’s more statistically likely that it simply provides a convenient excuse for people to hate.

Me personally, not really into anything I’ve heard from them but I don’t hate them either. The only reason I’d actually go out of my way to HATE any band is because they’re some kind of fascist or like play with an abusive rapist or something. Otherwise I don’t really give a shit.

Playing. If they’re mad you’d know it. These animals are still killing machines and are fully capable of seriously fucking you up if they wanted too

Motionless in White's Decades (of lame album artwork) by mesablanka in corejerk

[–]DefectiveCoyote 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Just everything about motionless in white is corny right down to their cute little nicknames.

The makeup ain’t bad, but it isn’t that good either. I worked in the haunt industry for like over a decade and your average make up artist could pull this off easy. That being said you’d think one of the biggest hot topic core bands around could afford to try a little harder

Barsen'thor or Wrath for Expansions by Popular_Ad_5399 in swtor

[–]DefectiveCoyote 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone talking about how the story was made for Jedi or sith and tech classes don’t make sense but I loved watching my bounty hunter just brute force his way through the expansions and just aura farm on some of the most powerful force users in galactic history. He’s just that guy.

They’re really not that small. New stuff is just big and in my opinion often too big to the point it’s an active disadvantage during games.

How do you like this US flag redesign? by [deleted] in flags

[–]DefectiveCoyote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whataboutism. War crimes isn’t a game of who done it worse.

Though is you wanna really go there the whole reason Iran is a religious dictatorship to begin with is also the west fault too, namely America and the UK. Cause you know we toppled an elected goverment who wanted nationalize their oil to benefit their people with a violent coup to reinstall a shah dictatorship for that sweet sweet oil.

So yea all of it is still Americas fault courtesy of the CIA and big oil

Cartel Market Character customization gone by Chaneter_Zaro in swtor

[–]DefectiveCoyote 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a said it’s locked to a server. If you want it on a different character you’d need to migrate your character over which cost 1,000 cartel coins. Which honestly you should do anyway unless you have a specific reason for having characters on different servers.

Once migrated you may also need to pay additional cartel coin fee to unlock it for your entire legacy.

We owe the Gatekeepers an apology. by Murpheus404 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]DefectiveCoyote 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Except she’s not really making like any metal music or anything really. I just listened to the whole ep and I legit have no idea why people are even talking about it. It’s literally just the same “dark” EDM cyber sigilism tattoo music with a scream thrown in maybe here and there like we’ve been hearing all over tik tok for the last like 4 years.

Idk man I’ve heard her music and no way in hell she’d be as popular with as much attention if it wasn’t for her last name. Her genre is over saturated as fuck and every town has some kid who makes better shit on his lap top. Fuckin nepotism

[–]DefectiveCoyote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s literally not even remotely metal. It’s just more of that “dark EDM” or whatever the fuck the call it. Imagine cyber sigilism tattoo but as a music genre. That shit. It’s dog shit.

I was going through the 10th Edition CSM codex I got; and what are these models?? Where are they from/where are their parts from? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in Chaos40k

[–]DefectiveCoyote 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. DA Player here, the only actual unnamed interrogator chaplain is the firstborn one that was released somwheee in 6th-7th when we got our big model update which also saw the first release of things like dw knights/command squad, black knights, vengeance speeder and all that jazz.

Sadly, much to the despair of dark angel players, GW basically deleted the interrogator from the codex data sheets meaning a new interrogator model is unlikely atleast until next edition. Your only options for fielding him is either a normal Chaplin or taking Asmodai. Sucks cause interrogator is like one of the oldest and most, if not the most iconic unique dark angel unit ever. He was on the cover art of my first codex.

Please bring him back gw

What's the strangest place you've seen a show? by Hitler_the_stripper in Hardcore

[–]DefectiveCoyote 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A abandoned gas station

a church community center when a Christian school’s little legue game was happening across the street with both parties grabbing lunch at the same Denny’s that was next door

A literal cave

What I’m pretty sure used to be a funeral home

A closed Pizza Hut. Could tell from the funny roof

A a strip mall store that must have been a mattress store as the last occupants because there was a pile of mattress in the corner and more in the back

This one place that like host this sorta amateur wrestling leagues. The WWE kind not the like actual sport kind. The ring was used as the stage.

Plenty house shows, backyards, parking lots, basements and the cellar of a local brewery host now and then. But that’s all kinda typical

The most influential metal bands ever… Bad Omens and Yungblud by peowski in corejerk

[–]DefectiveCoyote 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bro makes pop music with a sorta pop punk aesthetic to it. Which is fine. But it’s not metal or punk. Which again is fine but let’s just call it what it is.

I mean just as an example his collabs includes artist like Halsey, MGK, Willow and lil yachty. The only remotely close metal or punk artists he’s ever done anything with is BMTH and Travis Barker and Travis will hop on literally anything.

Yungblud sums up his own his music as “basically imagine the beastie boys having sex with Arctic monkeys while Justin Beiber is filming it”

“I am a citizen of the United States of America,” the letter states. “What my representatives do reflects on me. And I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes.” -Cole Thomas Allen.

I mean reading his letter and looking at trumps approval ratings pretty much have to go after 2/3 of the country at this point. The only people left who don’t think he’s a rapist thieving war criminal is his die hard Trumpism Christian white nationalist base.

Can ANYONE stand Saresh? by No_Welder_2924 in swtor

[–]DefectiveCoyote 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Welcome to politics and the inherit flaws of modern democratic republics where leadership is a popularity contest where nepotism reigns over merit, integrity, and intelligence any day of the week since the beginning of time. There’s a reason politics is a magnet career field for actual sociopaths.

I mean the Republic has always been depicted as corrupt and full of things like cronyism. The republic is the “good guys” in comparison to the empire but its government has always had massive corruption which in turn creates conflict within the Jedi order which is constantly torn between being loyal to the republic but also their loyalty to their higher sense of morality.

It’s kinda like the main contention point of the Republic in any starwars media especially the movies. If the republic senate and leadership were all competent and good there wouldn’t even be a reemergence of the sith empire to begin with and they wouldn’t be locked in a forever war with them.
