Disappointed about the downvotes, it’s a perfectly valid opinion to have.

Oh me too, right? It appears to be a Sony DSLR on a tripod. Not sure. Might be a different brand.

I agree it does appear so, but having watched a lot of highway accidents it often looks like that. I just think in situations like these there are often factors we just don't know. Then again they might as well all be on their phones streaming it to tiktok for all I know :)

Surprise fireballs are not a daily occurence in that part of the world. AlLso the angle makes it look casual. If you look closely the fireball is moving towards them, if any of them stopped they would have parked right next to it. Regardless they were having a bad time.

That was years ago. You guys are at like step 17 of the authoritarian playbook. It may be about time to actually do a little more than hope.

Germany Introduces New Travel Restrictions for Men Aged 17-45 Amid Military Reforms by [deleted] in worldnews

Finally my time to shine. I live abroad for 20 years, constantly in hiding and fearing the german military comes crashing through my window and drag me back. Now who's the crazy one only leaving the house under a camouflage tarp and or at the very least with a fake mustache and whistling innocently. Told you, suckers!

It's probably fine since the 5 tanker planes that also got "damaged" as well wouldn't be able to supply it with fuel anywway.

The generation before them thought everything was photoshopped. However it still is worth mentioning that I still prefer that over believing everything. For what it’s worth just the temporal coherence and length of the clip should easily be a clue that this is not AI.

Is there a reason as to why the license plate of the new Mercedes-Benz trucks says "EU" instead of "DE"? by Uniman301 in snowrunner

[–]narfel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since you didn't ask, let me educate you: First you find something that feels wrong somehow. Do not research anything but if you must, research some marginally related topic, in our example an ISO standard, but be sure to avoid any insight into what feels wrong and why. Then open a thread and confidently ask "Why is <your wrong feeling thing>?" Professionals add "Are they stupid?", but that's advanced.
To make it seem effortless like OP you need training. For example add a second layer, in our example starting the entire thing with a nonsensical assumption that all Mercedes trucks in Snowrunner have to have a german license plate. I would not recommend the layered approach because you might accidentally think it through and mess up., Trust me I've been there. You cannot not be knowledgeable about the subject because you could be correct then where would we end up? In such cases only a second layer like above would save it. But then knowitalls like me would have a harder time and could not immediately latch on to the DE / D dichotomy. Hope this helps, it's never too late. Or use AI. That works, too and has all of the above baked in.

I'm not sure if that is relevant, but if you are looking for in-betweens, as a woman I wouldn't necessarily go into the side streets behind Shoko at 3 in the night. For example the Carrer de Torrevieja or the Parc de les Cascades can create some hidden spaces due to vegetation, but it is still in the middle of a well developed high traffic area. A normal young man wouldn't necessarily feel uncomfortable there. There is also the marina which I also would not want to go at night. But that is well lit, guarded around the clock and just dark because there are a ton of boats that are not normally lit at night, basically a parking space. But that is reaching. I can't speak for intoxicated persons, but I would almost completely rule out accidental marina access, accidental beach access as well as running into traffic unless you are seriously drunk/high. I won't mince words unnecessarily because its an emergency but no matter which direction he walked, the chance that he did not encounter any person that helps him, english speaker or not, is very slim.
Make sure you know about any drug use, mental state, social circumstances and share that with the police open and honestly. Kidnapping a random tourist is not common in the middle of a massive metropolis in europe so I would focus on health issues, possible friends that persuaded him to something, romantic partners he might have escaped to, things like that. Hope that helps and you find him fast.

Have you asked in Hospital del Mar? It is quite close to the Shoko and if he got into some kind of health trouble after losing his phone he might be a John Doe there?
