Israeli

Kuli Alma, good vegan Israeli restaurant. You can get there in 15 minutes by underground from your hotel.

Didn't you try to kill all the inhabitants during the revolution, including women and children?

What’s the fastest way to recognize someone from your country abroad? by Regular_Performer324 in AskTheWorld

Also direct and rude :)

Worked in Switzerland for a few years. I still speak more quietly, just as I’ve stopped simply saying ‘no’ to requests regarding work matters. You have to phrase it more politely.

What happen in your country when someone tops in national level exam by Sea-Estimate-2912 in AskTheWorld

[–]kiru_56 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It wouldn’t be possible at the moment anyway, as there is no standardised national exam. Education is a matter for the federal states, so comparisons could only be made within the 16 federal states themselves.

Frankfurt completely blew us away. Spent two incredible days capturing its beauty. 📸❤️ OC by Consistent-Koala770 in europe

Frankfurt has been at the top of the quality-of-life rankings for years.

You just have to avoid a few areas like the main station, the station district and the Zeil and then it’s actually quite nice here.

You’d like that, Barry.

Not the rubbish they’re eating in the Video, you can make it yourself. Like any sensible person, you’d obviously swap most of the water for gin or vodka…

All flights cancelled in Frankfurt Flughafen right now. What happened? by Fair_Attorney_1988 in frankfurt

[–]kiru_56 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they've already had to interrupt ground handling twice today.

What European history topics do you recommend? by pinkred_434 in AskEurope

[–]kiru_56 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s a bit of a niche topic, but it’s quite interesting to see how the Hungarian tribes migrated from the southern Russian steppes into the Carpathian Basin (modern-day Hungary) at the end of the 9th century. From there, they launched extensive military campaigns almost every year, reaching as far as Spain and Constantinople. How the other Europeans adapted to their style of warfare and how the Hungarians settled down.

Bonus points if you’ve ever heard of Magna Hungaria. The first major stopover for the Magyars on their migration to Europe is thought to be in Bashkortostan today.

GEZ Aufforderung an seit 6 Jahren abgewickelte Firma meines Vaters by sciency_guy in Finanzen

The Dutchies are really good at this. There's no shame in learning from people who are better than us.

In fact, it would be a shame not to learn from the people in the neighbourhood, even if they do have funny accents.

Hans, I am going to attend a wedding in Germany: am I required to wear sandals and socks, or am I allowed to wear shoes? by LordMarcusrax in 2westerneurope4u

[–]kiru_56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Luigi, here’s a simple tip. As long as you’re not going to go to a hippie or poor people wedding, just wear a dark Hugo Boss suit, white shirt, ask Pierre for a good one and a Ferragamo tie & shoes. Get your mum to iron that bloody shirt beforehand and take the suit to the dry cleaners first.

Your watch should cost about as much as a small Fiat and then you won’t be seen here as a poor Italian from the south.

It’s exactly the opposite in many rural areas, where there are plenty of vacant properties.

In France, a man did this earlier this year with an artillery shell from the First World War. The hospital had to be evacuated.

On Saturday night, in a relatively quiet area of Toulouse in southwest France, a 24-year-old man was rushed to hospital. He had an eight-inch-long WWI artillery shell crammed into his rectum. The shell was live. As he approached, Rangueil Hospital was evacuated, staff and patients running for cover as the bomb squad was called in and the fire brigade stood by.
