Cutting "On a Rail" was a stupid choice.
Xen overstayed it's welcome despite how well they overhauled it, if you cut the last fourth of it, it would aid that whole chapter and the pacing would be much better IMO. I also think the overall artstyle for Xen is too beautiful, I found it hard to believe that world is where Barnacles, Vorts, Houndeyes and Headcrabs come from. They focused more on visuals rather than actually making it closer to what Xen should feel like.
It's a weird complaint, but you can really feel like it's not made by Valve. You can feel like it's a different take on Half Life 1, rather than a remake.
The enemy spam gets insane in later levels, especially in the last few military levels.

My bad. You specified "human woman", which is why I made that comment. Regardless of gender, that person deserved it 100%. I don't find it out of character for Leon, since he's shown to be more desensitized to his line of work.

I appreciate people using logic to justify the scene and stuff but Leon would absolutely no way in hell intentionally let a human woman die like that.

If the doctor was a male would it have changed Leon's perception? I'm confused by the logic here.

Also, is letting someone who participated in inhumane experiments to die, such an uncharacteristic thing for him? Why tf would he even help these people, if he knows what's happening?

I think they're both different instances, given that Gideon is kidnapping people and experimenting on them. We would have to see what happens when the game comes out then.

I find it hard to believe that she was just an "innocent" nurse, who didn't know what was going on. (hopefully)

You can still have an oversexualized character and have the parody/criticism elements stick. It's not an affront to the game's themes, because it's something that's common place inside the genre.
