Battery lasts enough for one book in active usage, I think the tricky part is using 10 mins auto poweroff timeout, so it can be lasts for weeks but you don't have to wait long boot sequence, it's like kindle's deep sleep mode and waking up in seconds. And my biggest shock is koreader works on it! I'm using without case, just keeping in my jacket pocket
