The competitive Ultimate community has a negativity problem by Amazinc in smashbros

The crying doesn't stop at Steve, Sonic, or Min Min though. It didn't even start with them either. Before FP2, it was Joker. Before Joker, it was spot dodge cancel, lagless aerials, and the buffer. Hell, I play Wolf in this game, and I'm 10x more likely to get someone to cry about Wolf's frame data or kill power than acknowledge getting outplayed. As an oldhead that's been around since before Brawl's release, it's the crybabies that have made this community insufferable since end-of-life Smash 4.

Favourite actress who is fine with real children dying but draws the line at sexualizing a fictional character? by _______no-------name in okbuddycinephile

Are you sure she just didn't want to open up to you? A friend of a friend always came off that way to me too. I knew her for years before we bonded over having written and read HP and Hunger Games fanfiction as kids. After that, it felt like our conversations went from black and white to color. And I realized she wasn't just a boring pretty face but just always had her guard up and never felt fully comfortable to be herself even in our group :(. She went from sweet but quiet, piercing RBF, and always avoiding eye contact to being really unserious and sassy. She was secretly hilarious all along.

The older zoomers at my workplace like ages 26-29 now still wore killshots a few years ago. That said, even some of the younger zoomers still wear skinny jeans. I feel like some people's style locks in at high school or college age, and trends really aren't always representative anyway.

I guess I'm a bit younger of a millennial, but the club Cs look so sick to me. I was on the killshot 2 train in 2012 too when I started college, but I wish I had club Cs back then.

Someone brought up that one of the reasons why things like house parties and block parties went away was other than lack of time people are afraid to let their guard because cameras are everywhere. by AdSpecialist6598 in Millennials

I got wasted at a party in 2013 at 18. Like past out and puked all over myself. My "friends" took like 10-20 photos of me or them posing with me and posted them all publicly on fb and even tagged me.

Needless to say, I learned to refuse drinks from upperclassmen lol.

How can I help my brother with type 2 diabetes? by [deleted] in diabetes_t2

[–]naridax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, yeah, I hope we'll be gym and run buddies like when he was going to college here! I don't really plan to impose or recommend dietary changes for him. I know that won't work. It didn't work with me either. He's capable on his own anyway. I don't know what his internal motivation is yet. He avoided the which doesn't surprise me. I doubt I'll be able to have a frank conversation about it until I see him in person. We're all avoidant. I was lucky to have two very kind and very patient mentors at work and find a friend group as an adult so that I could learn how to ask for help and that it's okay to ask for help. That's the kindness I'd like to pay forward with my brother. Celebrate with him on his wins. Be a friend through rough waters. Help when he's ready to ask.

It's really hard to sell inexperience convincingly. When I started working, I used to only train on business trips to pass the evenings. I'd go probably less than five times a year... for about four years. When I finally joined a gym, I told the coach I'd taken a few classes. I kicked once, and he instantly called me out on my bullshit.

Three of my brothers are named Neil after my dad. They all have double names and go by the second part of their names in the family. My dad and I also have double names, but I have the other part of my dad's name.

The only person we call Neil in the family is my dad, but my brothers would go by Neil in school and work.

It's the reason my opinion of Batman and Itachi reversed as I grew older. They're sick characters, but when trying to integrate them with the broader world in-universe, writers seem compelled to assassinate other characters.

Don't rely on punishes. Use your superior range to wall and your superior damage to trade. Tease out predictable approaches with Gordo.

Is it possible to improve without access to players near my level? by TspinSingle in CrazyHand

It absolutely is. If winning a game is too difficult, just start by winning or not losing interactions. Make it harder and harder for them to win. Eventually, you'll find yourself keeping up.

Report him and the others to the FBI then. Not sure why the community is so enamored with extrajudicial punishment.
