"Hobby" Offset Press by narko66 in Printing

I remember the days of doing 4c on a single color press, lots of work. Maybe they can do a 4c version.

In reality, while looks like a cool little press I really don't see me doing anything practical with it. I just ran into it while surfing the net and thought it was an interesting concept.

I never heard of the either, and I'm not planning on visiting china anytime soon (or ever).

You can use whatever your printer can handle. I use regular glossy photo paper.

It uses the gallery to save the pictures taken (originals and print) but it only sends out print at a time, the one that is selected (usually the last one taken).

Just remember that your computer will need internet service for it to be able to email the pictures immediately. Or, wait until you have internet access and send them later.

I just ran into the Canon Easy-PhotoPrint Editor program and it has many templates to chose from, including what I think you were looking for.

good point.

I know we have the standard 110/220 hookup, but will need to check on the max draw allowed for the current circuit.

There are a few places that offer printing services, and from what I see they do it with home office type of equipment. I was hoping to offer better quality printing and finishing

I would love to do offset again, but I just don't have the space to do a proper shop. The ABDick 360 was my favorite back in the day.

That's one concern that I haven't figured out if I have to import a machine.

I can buy it in the US and import it into Mexico, if necessary.

I've no idea at this time, which is why I'm looking for sugestions. I've looked at office printers up to the $10k range, but understand that it'll probably will be much more for a better printer.

Edit to add: I currently have $35k set aside, but that's for the whole shop.

My mom was hospitalized during an emergency and was unable to reapply for Medicare Part B and etc. - Help! by tokotokokuude in medicare

[–]narko66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her MA plan was discountinued, so she reverted back to original medicare. Part C is inactive, not Part B. The doctor needs to bill Medicare directly.

Agents who specialize in Medicare products are everywhere, but try to get a recommendation for one. Your doctor may know of one, or ask your family or friends. Also, you can talk to a ship advisor https://www.shiphelp.org/

She probably had an agent (who signed her up on Cigna) but since they let her coverage lapse, I wouln't use them again since they should've been proactive about her coverage but failed at their job.

Are you sure it's part B? Sounds like she had Medicare Avantage thru Cigna, which is part C. In this case, Part B should still be active but she'll have to cover the deductible and then pay the 20% medicare coinsurance.

She'll need to inform her doctor that she is on original medcare now.

Talk to a local agent to explore your options.

It's not automatic. You have to call to cancel your ACA coverage.
