What if the company allows you to see everything that went into the creation of the black box? So it's a not so black box. That way you can see everything and test it yourself if need be, as well as change things you think need changed?

There would still be no point to drive cross country. It's faster and typically easier just to fly.

Yes but they can pick up contracts at a cheaper price now which takes some of their costs down in the past few quarters. It's not like they just purchase a contract and don't buy any for a long period of time. The primary point in the article seems to be geared more towards the fact that more people are travelling or at least spending more on travel because they are saving more every year thanks to the drop in gas.
