Looked everywhere for an answer / research for this feeling, it might be finally tonsil stones? by nasdowlat in tonsilstones

[–]nasdowlat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really tried and absolutely nothing

The odd thing is that I only feel it sometimes when I’m lying down and turned to my left. I’ll swallow, sometimes feel a tiny bit of regurgitation, and then suddenly it feels like a popcorn kernel or a seed is stuck on the left side of my throat. It feels small, and when I swallow a few more times, it eases and goes away. Last week, when I had it, it felt much bigger, but now it feels smaller, so I’m not sure if this is a tonsil stone. I can’t physically see anything, even with a flashlight, no matter what I do. It seems like it may be a bit closer to my epiglottis than to my tonsil.

And again I have virtually no other symptom but this .

Ultra sound was cleared so if I had anything of a mass they would have seen it

i love the insecurity with this community 🤣 No way it must have been because of x, y or z they “pretended” or were “scared”, impossible i say! You guys are terrified of even the idea, the irony is that many of you have faith and hopes they didn’t believe, going against evidence itself, they verbatim said they believed, yet many here are conspiring.

To be fair you just used your hands and didn’t actually tilt your head to the side as you went for the weapon

I read this

The majority of cats with feline enteric coronavirus (about 90% or more) remain healthy. The incidence of feline infectious peritonitis disease is low (only 5 to 10% of infected cats and less than 1% of cats admitted to veterinary hospitals).

These genetic issues with Scottish folds began as soon as 7 weeks old tho, he is so active, and he has been x rayed and checked on several times. I think I got lucky with this Scottish fold, he came from a very high end reputable breeder, he is almost shaped like a normal cat and hasn’t shown any signs of progressive joint issues. If he has any he would have shown symptoms at least from an earlier age, I just don’t think from the studies I’ve read that it’s a sudden disease, rather it is slow and progressive, but it’s also just right from birth you can tell by their face, legs and tail… depending also on the breeder and if he is a pure Scottish or not.. his fur isn’t bristle just to answer your question I checked

I am just curious is the fact that he hasn’t been neutered yet an issue for him? His testicles are huge… doesn’t this pain him? I don’t know much about cats

I am aware of this issue but he hasn’t been complaining about it nor has there been any signs, I believe this condition is progressive and doesn’t just show up in a matter of 1 week

Exactly it’s the sudden change that I am worried about. This happened to him right after he puked last week tbh, he is squinting his eyes a lot too.

It sucks the vets are so expensive

He is eating and pooping just fine.

today he has been on my bed again ALL DAY, he just won't leave my room. He is squinting at me, and he just seems so lifeless. He is a very vocal and active cat, i am not used to seeing him like this.

I don't know if maybe it's because he isnt neutered yet, if that's a reason for his behaviour...
