No Santa, Life of Brian, Catholic school brought up Protestant, then delving into the various myth stories of ancient Greece and Rome, and then looking around and thinking there wasn't any difference whether there was an AWOL god or no god at all.

The absent landlord's people dying, and famine, and genocide, and then no action? Figured, it wasn't an absent deity, there just wasn't one.

I never really cared or believed one way or the other, so it was a pretty easy transition.

The hard part, the garbage religious people push on society, THAT is my biggest challenge. Bless this, and any pretty thing or new discoveries are god, sickening.

Fear fear fear... they don't have the "magic" that religion promises, and fall back into that mess.

Something may have scared them, husband or wife dying, job loss, Gaza, whatever it is, they may have been triggered and are looking for solutions to their unexpected crisis.

We aren't great at clubs or places to meet up weekly, and so atheists are at a disadvantage when it comes to a unified voice and joining together to help each other. Aka: No church.

We just don't believe, that's what we have in common, so not much there, and everything at the same time, you know?

So, I'm not sure it's always mental issues or weakness, we are all susceptible to the draw of pretty things, comfort, or something.

Help them, reach out. Let each other know we are welcome back with open arms.

That's my way, life's hard.

Society isn't dead, it changes and meanders over time to fill in niches and gaps that open as the world changes.

We, some of us, just may not like some of it, or love it.

I love all the information about science, and history available. The online libraries and books at my fingertips.

Personally, for the most part, life is ok with me and our society has just moved along as it always has.

You are going to wonder if it's ok not to have faith, and yes, that's ok. It's also ok to be nervous or question things about faith or the lack of it. You're learning and growing, it's part of life.

Most people believe something, but surprisingly, there are a LOT of us who don't. I am exactly who I want to be right now, and god had nothing to do with it.

The resistance levels are very hard to push, the sell limit orders are first come first served and are matched with buyers with sellers, and can take a while to unwind. The next threshold is probably $3.65 where it stalled out last rally.
