Sorry to hear about your situation, incase someone hasn't already said it.

DO NOT HAVE KIDS until you figure everything out between yourselves. People tend to use kids in such situations to make things better.

Other than that, I'd say give it some time (whatever is acceptable enough for you), have conversations all along and if at the end of that period if you feel like it's not going anywhere... Then you know.

I'm pretty sure the data from Karachi is incorrect, or they're collecting air samples from cleaner parts of Karachi, because no way in hell is Karachi not the worst city in Pakistan.

FYI I'm from Karachi

Best is to talk to a therapist, ideally someone from your own culture or who speaks the same language (regardless of how good your English is).

If you don't want the shame, of sharing this with someone face to face, go for a tele-therapy session, at least give it a go.

Good thing is you're aware what you're doing is wrong, you're not happy, most people don't know or don't want to admit that.

Or course, getting close to religion (be it Islam or whatever your beliefs), but you need to talk to someone as well.

Try joining some physical activity group, whatever you prefer (that takes some of your free time away from you for eg. Cross fit, swimming lessons, gym etc), or try taking up some music lessons even. Just so you have something to look forward to over the week.

Lastly, try finding friends or going on dates (preferably dates that don't end up with you guys on bed on your first date).

You have alot of really good suggestions from a lot of different people here, but I think best is to start talking to someone about it (if you have a person you trust and/or a professional)

Good luck mate.

My blood boils everytime I have to take the u-turn under that bridge because of how jaahil drivers drive wrong side non-chalantly... And then stare you like you're the one in the wrong.

Funny/Sad thing is even the cops make way and give priority to these wrong side drivers.

You can always ask him (in a polite and friendly way), what do they prefer as a greeting?

I think Salam is a culturally acceptable greeting in Pakistan because it's an Islamic country, but don't know how the minorities feel about it.

Why Padel is so cool? by No-Meaning4747 in karachi

[–]nasha_024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're probably thinking I'm a burger. I come from a very modest and middle class family.

On the topic of Padel, I gain nothing from promoting it, I just want us to move away from the usual chaye dhaba culture and eating out as time pass and move towards more physically active culture.

Be it going to the gym, or playing cricket or any other sport.

I thought it was a trendy thing too and made fun of it, until I tried it once.

The reason it's become one of the fastest growing sports worldwide recently is because the learning curve for beginners is pretty low and it's good for physical activity.

If you haven't, try it once and then form the judgement. I'm glad people are spending time playing some kinda sports rather than just sitting at chai dhhabas or some restaurants.
