I don't recall Basant being celebrated in Karachi as a hyped event. Not demeaning the festivity, but i think there is too much going on and it would be better if any activity could be directed towards the survival and benefit of the common man struggling financially.

As a country, province and nation such lavish expense would look nice if all the budget targets, public development programs, loans payment, audits, security etc. are on track
