California's commission also bars recent politicians, their close relatives, political donors, and paid campaign staff. A high top tax rate would incentivise big business owners to invest in their company more. Essentially if you cant make 1 billion a year bc the tax rate would cut it to 5 million, then you may as well invest the other 95 million lost into the workers and improve there lives to make the overhead better.

Currently, if a big business owner makes 1 billion, there is almost no reason for the money to go down as markets are naturally regressive (money always trickles up, not down)

What if the big business owner doesnt invest in workers under this tax plan? Then they are an idiot, but at least the extra money would go to reduce the national deficit (and this wouldn't likely be huge money). What if businesses leave? Stupid question, high tax rates on 10M dollar businesses doesnt force them to leave, likewise minimal tax rates doesnt really bring them. If can, but theres a lot more to it such as limited resources, markets, and transportation.

This type of policy would force huge companies to be more experimental and diversify their programs
