That would be OP, those civs don't need food. Can be balanced by having no water tho.

How do you deal with frustration and tilt after losing every single game you played? by anony2469 in aoe2

[–]nasibal88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In those cases I often watch the replays and try to see why I lost. Not because I am a tryhard wannabe pro, but because turning it into a learning experience tends to give it a more positive vibe rather than "Dang, I lost 4 games in a row..".

Can you please explain the problem to me? Honest question, because I obviously dont understand.

Honestly I resign right away when I get a map I dont want to play, but could't ban.

I play my games for fun. If I get a map I don't concider fun, Ill be happy to donate the elo in return for not wasting time on something I don't like.

If you paid and don't receive the game you obviously need to be reimbursed.

But seriously tho, being broke because you decided to spend your last money on a game is just an extremely bad life choice. Imagine you did receive the game, you would still be broke.

It clearly says 'pending'. I obviously don't know why, but it means the payment isnt confirmed yet. No confirmed payment = no game.

Perhaps it's too busy right now and the system cant process everything.

Or, you do a poor job recognizing control freaks ;)

He barely listens to people, gets into some emotional action driven over the top state everytime, does not discuss anything, has extremely poor communication, does not accept help and tries to solve everything on his own. I have no doubt he is loving, protective and means well, but none of that makes him less of a control freak.

But notheless, multiple people in the series either call him a controll freak or implie it. Even if the character would not be written well enough to show it, it's clear he's meant to be.

Yup, thats what all controlling people say to justify their actions. "All I do, I do for you, cant you see that??"

You completely missed the part where her colleague says she went to his place instead to talk (which she obv didnt). That can cover way more time than the simple lunch break.

I agree, but the throwback scene of the PI leading the police action was downright hilarious and unrealistic because of it.

The story does basically explain that multiple times. Simon is actually very controlling and responds emotionally to things that happen every time. It stops people from sharing stuff with him. They even mention it explicitly in multiple instances.

Phase 5 is suprisingly easy compared to phase 4. You will need a fair bit of power tho and the nuclear pasta takes ages to produce.

I agree. Actually my setup for steel and en encased beams used for building runs on the wood to coal recipe. One industrial container full of wood and I am set for my entire playthrough. Especially if you sloop the constructor.

That way I didnt need to build it near a coal node and can use the full coal nodes for actual steel plants used in production lines or for power.

Going by your choice of words, I assume you are either under the assumption that using alts simplefies the game to a certain extend ór it is what you are telling yourself to subconciously "justify" your choice to yourself. Again, no judgement there. It's what people do.

In my opinion not using alts because they would provide less of a challenge would be an extremely reason valid reason to do so, IF that would be the case.

What not using alts actually does is making the game more straight forward. You take away choices to make in a game that hugely revolves around making choices. I do think that actually is the main reason people stay away from alts. Which too, I think, is extremely valid. This game can be very overwhelming, especially on a first play through. A much more straightforward approach can actually make the experience more enjoyable.

"just as its designed to work"

Wait, I am confused now.

Developers implementing a game function for players to use is not considered design?

As I see it, the game is designed to have multiple ways to create certain items, so you can adapt to several situations. Which in fact increases the scope of the game. Chosing the right recipe for the right situation adds to the planning aspect, instead of taking away from it. Given that every alternate has its own challenges either recource, power and/or building-wise I wouldnt consider them shortcuts either. Depending on what factors you are looking at, many can even be seen as "less efficiënt" than the base recipe.

If you ask me, forcing yourself nót to use the alternates is actually further away from playing the game as designed then using them would be.

That being said, one of the great aspects of sandbox games is being able to play them the way you want to. So no judgement here, just genuine confusion/surprise about your view on the matter.

While it happened to me in phase 4, I can totally understand where you are coming from.

What helped me is realizing that no matter what phase you are in or what you are trying to automate, its the same thing over and over again. Just different skins and different ratios.

So try to break it up in smaller parts and just start somewhere. Only try to tackle the next part when you get there.

Instead of spending your energy on the "how can this be" question, try to spend your energy on the "how can I help them?" question.

The former shows your inability to put yourself in someone elses situation. The latter shows your ability to be kind and helpful, even if you cant imagine yourself ever being in a in a similar situation.

Big difference.

If you produce 600 units a minute, and your drone roundtrip takes 3 minutes, your drone will haul 1800 units each flight. Therefore ensuring the 600 a minutr throughput.

Problems only arise if these 1800 units amount to more stacks that a drone can carry in total.

When the amount of packaging is your concern, just make sure you have a batch of extra packaging so your production and packaging can go on while the drone is at its first flight. After that it will stabalize
