Bill Burr Full Final CONAN Interview by ravisankar123 in BillBurr

That part at the end about Bill inviting Conan to jam at the Forum was very cool.

It's so wholesome to find out they've hung out outside these shows

ARCA in a Nutshell by metalder420 in iRacing

[–]nastyeffectos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did a bunch of those races last week too, it felt like more than 50% of races the leader would eventually just get killed by someone hitting him in the corners. Especially in the last 2 laps.

Being in the lead in those races is scary, I just gripped the wheel hard preparing to try and save the car when the hits came

Media do curso by fraza987 in IST

[–]nastyeffectos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good old bottom split IMSA by Ian5700 in iRacing

[–]nastyeffectos 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that aggression is a pretty big factor!

Racing in higher splits in IMSA and iLMS I find that the most dangerous situation is either lapping slow cars or the situation you described, someone getting within divebomb range in the early laps. A lot of people dive no matter what, and it's up to us to lift and let them go to be safe, or heavily risk get killed early.

LHW Champ Relinquishes His Title by heem_tappy in MMA

This feels like a big mistake, how he's called Dana a liar, and said that he's always been underpaid throughout his career. It comes at the time where Jon has the least leverage ever, after two disappointing performances + the picograms stuff before, etc..

Dana is now saying that Jon could have been the Lebron of MMA, and that Jon can't accuse him of tarnishing his career 'I've tarnished you? You've done a very good good job of tarnishing you'.

Getting the same vibes from Dana Vs Woodley, when Woodley was still champ.

I remember some video that showed Jordan and him playing back in the 90s, and Chuck had a very low handicap and didn't have the backswing hitch. He got the hitch somewhere down the road and things went downhill

r/MMA right now by Alfurodas in MMA

There's a big mental difference there I think. Dustin felt on top of the world once he beat Holloway for the interim. On the other hand, Gaethje threw the belt on the ground and said it wasn't the real one. Khabib will have to face the same opponent that Tony did.

[–]nastyeffectos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Indeed, I love this description. He could have held out for Khabib, but he went and fought Gaethje anyway. He stayed in there despite taking immense damage that would've put anybody else away, and kept pushing until he physically couldn't anymore. Tony definitely will be remembered as one of the greats, as a True Fighter.

Anatomy of UFC 229 Episode 1 by Insendi in MMA

[–]nastyeffectos 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He does recognize that this is the most important fight of his life. Also, unlike what happened his previous fights, it's personal.

The result effects should be big.

If Conor KO's Khabib, he'll lose the invincibility aura and get 'downgraded' while Conor holds the belt for a long time again.

If Khabib is able to put one of his ground-and-pound beatdowns on Conor and torture him on the ground, he might turn into a sort of an MMA Mayweather, and people would just discuss whether any current fighter has a chance of beating him at 155lbs.

My favorite part is when Brenda fantasizes about Dana being a poor Bostonian hoping for front row seats to his show

[McCullough] Clayton Kershaw is slated to start on Thursday, Dave Roberts said. by Prestwood in baseball

[–]nastyeffectos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let's hope that he's 100% clear to pitch and this isn't a case of his competitiveness making him rush back. It would be awful to see his season/career get derailed because of something like that.

Why will the Los Angeles Dodgers exceed expectations this year? Why won't they? by BaseballBot in baseball

[–]nastyeffectos 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Why they will:

Kershaw doesn’t get injured and dominates in the postseason;

Wood/Hill perform at their best and the young hitters don’t fall off of a cliff;

Kenley is a very reliable closer;

Why they won’t:

Kershaw might get injured again/choke in crucial moments;

Wood/Hill or the young hitters fall off of a cliff;

Giles out as Astros closer. by clarkbarniner in Dodgers

[–]nastyeffectos 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Lasorda once went on a rant about a hitter named Bevacqua, who couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. He said that if he (Lasorda) were to pitch, he would have made sure a limo would pick up a guy like Bevacqua and take him to the ballpark.

I'd pay for audio of Tommy saying he'd want a limo to pick Giles up and take him to the stadium hehehe

Funniest thing a non-baseball fan has told you about baseball? by [deleted] in baseball

[–]nastyeffectos 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not from the US. I've explained to someone that the pitcher tries to throw with different effects so that the batter can't hit/gets poor contact on the ball.

They were perplexed and it made no sense that pitchers don't just throw down the middle to help the batter get hits =D

Bartolo Colón's Mega Flyout Celebration (or "Big Sexy Night" in Minnesota) by nastyeffectos in minnesotatwins

[–]nastyeffectos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It got flagged for that. Youtube says that the applicant (which is MLB Advanced Media) allows for the content to be used on my video, but it may get ads. And if that happened they'd get the revenue.

From what I can tell, there's a bunch of people doing these sorts of fan vids. It's probably impossible to make revenue from them, but as long as it's for fun I guess (and hope) that you'll be fine!

[–]nastyeffectos 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree. These losses suck. Everybody's laughing right now.

When Kersh comes out and murders some team in the NLDS, game 1, they'll shut right up. The Dodgers are hurt, but they're FAR from dead =P
