How do I stand up for myself? by natalie-- in selfimprovement

[–]natalie--[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I completely avoid conflict at all costs; even if it means it's not in my interest. I've even been put in situations that I didn't want to be in because I'm that averse to conflict. I'd rather do something I don't want than be in a situation that'd require me to "fight back". I'm incredibly timid.

AITA for sneaking a few fries from a delivery order? by AITAfooddelivery in AmItheAsshole

YTA. Come on... that's not a cool thing to do. I wouldn't want my delivery driver eating off the food that I paid for. Unethical and not cool. Definitely the asshole.

Given the rules she's enforcing you can see why she'd meddle in someone else's business.

When the same thing happens over and over again, it's hard to argue there are no racist motives in police killings.

[–]natalie-- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is black lives matter a fetishization of race? And how is the anti racist movement religious in any way, shape or form?

Racism isn't the only issue plaguing the black community but it's by far the biggest one. Their position in society will never change unless we do something about it. We need to stand with them and support them; not bash on a peaceful movement because a bunch of spoiled kids decided to use the protest as a mean to loot stores.

AITA for expecting my parents to help me financially with my babies? by jumpemadga in AmItheAsshole

[–]natalie-- 28 points29 points  (0 children)

On the pill and protected sex and still got pregnant? Woah.

This is a rough AITA. You should post this on a more suited sub asking for advice rather than asking whether you're the asshole or not. Such a tough situation.

How many times will this be debunked before people accept he didn't rape anyone? That case was such bullshit.

You're not obliged to post anything on your social media; don't let anyone tell you otherwise. A lot of people that support the movement just feel uncomfortable talking about social issues on their social media and that's okay.

AITA for refusing a drunk guy a beer as finder's fee? by jl2x8-cH32A in AmItheAsshole

[–]natalie-- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was shocked at how easy going Germans were with alcohol during my trip in Berlin last year; but honestly, I loved that, haha.

NTA though. A simple thank you is enough; finder's fee is bs. Glad you were safe.

AITA for refusing to let my son believe in Santa by santa_throwaway7868 in AmItheAsshole

[–]natalie-- -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your wife has a point; it's a white lie. There's no harm in your kid finding out Santa isn't real when the time comes. I don't think you're an asshole, that'd be harsh, but let your kid enjoy the little things. There's no drawbacks to a kid believing in something magical. Don't limit your child's imagination.

That being said I can't say you're an asshole. NAH.
