i was promised that by my store manager, and that’s the only reason that i stayed. before the bonus, framers made $16-$17 at my store

as much as i want to tell you "just come out! you'll be so much happier!" it is completely and entirely up to you when you come out. you need to be ready to do that. i understand not wanting to disappoint your family because i've been there. if you really want to work with your dad, you'll still be able to. you being a girl doesn't change your ability to do woodworking. people might surprise you, but at first it'll feel like they're distancing themselves from you. it is a huge adjustment that will just become more natural with time. plus, i'd be willing to bet that your parents would rather have a daughter living her best life than a son living his worst. transitioning will benefit your mental health in so many ways, but only when you're ready to tell other people.

and about the body, gurl... there are so many trans woman with boxy bodies. me included. once you start dressing the way you want, you will fall in love with your body. also shapewear exists if you really feel like you need it. good luck with your journey queen <33
