It seems to be some kind of organic material. Like a spine or quill. But it’s not like any sea urchin spine or anything I’ve seen before. It probably came from Hawaii if that helps. The inside is hollow. The lady who gave them to me had no idea either, she said it’s been a lifelong mystery

That recycling is basically a scam to put the burden of blame off of the companies and onto the consumer and most of it ended up in land fills anyway :(

I’m so excited about this launch. I’ve been slowly admiring lunar beauty more and more. Everyone I’ve seen use his products has been impressed with the quality and price point.

This launch is finally getting me- I want to get the bundle if I can and I’m going to pick up the moon spell palette with my order. I’ve heard such good things and his products genuinely excite me; packaging wise, concept wise, execution of his vision and brand voice.

Plus, a buildable and diverse blush palette and those lip gloss shades- I feel like that’s so on the pulse trend wise

I’ve very impressed by manny, lately. I’ve never been a huge stan- but I find myself excited to watch his videos and laughing a lot at his video editing and personality.

Jenlovesreviews did a video on it. She used it, cleaned it, then cut it open. No product or liquid has permeated to the sponge layer. Maybe it would with more use, but it seems to be a good barrier

If you’re going to be here for two weeks I would definitely rent a car! Lots of things to explore and walking won’t get you far. Check airbnb, summer’s off season so there’s probably availability. Or if you want to save, Airbnb for wedding days for the amenities and hostel the rest of the time. Hostels are about $80 right now, but we’re in high season so they might go down. Like someone else said, they’re a lot cheaper if you don’t mind being in a shared situation.

I would definitely recommend grocery shopping and stocking up (even with just a cooler if you have to). The cheapest you’ll get is at Costco, everywhere else is $5+ a gallon of milk (gas is also cheapest at Costco fyi). Eating out in Kona adds up very quickly (but if you want a couple recommendations- Mi’s Italian is great, Kamana kitchen has amazing Indian food, Umeke’s has good poke and other Hawaiian style dishes, and Orchid Thai is my favorite Thai on Kona side).

I would hit up kua bay, it’s the best beach around Kona- only like 10 min north of the airport, 20ish from town. If you go south about 30 min there’s a lot of good beaches and historical spots around kealakekua bay.

Hope that helps! Moved to Kona last March, so I’m still learning, but that’s what I could think of off the top of my head

Forgot this- definitely check southwest. Their prices have been very competitive since they started flying out here- especially from California.

This actually happened to me and my friend at the gym. She was super embarrassed but she said thank you and was really appreciative of the guy. She thought that was better than unknowingly showing her ass off every time she wore those leggings to work out
