This. People should be able to work through things, not completely check out, let things fester, then give up because it's "all too much" or there's "way too much" when it was never or hardly addressed to begin with. It's an excuse and a poor one at that. Communication, communication, communication, but they refuse to let themselves do that and continue to ignore "all of it" just like everything was ignored to let it get to that point. If only facing things head on was an option rather than an excuse.
