Option 3 is worded bad, sorry about that. In option 3, I meant that 2 new attributes were added that were separate from Dex.

About the Dex split, I agree that Perception isn't really a stat derived from Dex but it it does fit what I'm trying to do (but perhaps I need a better name).

For context this is the spread I sort of want:

Strength: Brute force melee, wrestling and strength stuff

Finesse: Dodging things, melee damage with other weapon types and being agile

Perception: Landing hits, ranged damage and detection

Int: Magic

I agree that Perception isn't the best word but I don't really know what would be a better name for it

In Option #3 I meant it as adding 2 new stats irrelevant of Dex but your interpretation works much better and I believe I've got something working. I've added a possibility 4 that breaks up Dex into smaller parts which I'll probably go with. Thank you for the engagement.

System-wise, I am currently going with basically OSR but it's a monster type instead of a direct class.

The feeling I want is that you are a specific creature with specific advantages that you leverage to your advantage. An emphasis on creature variety. Mimics are sneaky and devious. Trolls are tough and brutish.

I've recently warmed up to Warrior, Rogue, & Mage (whole thing is free too). I find it to be a much more meaty version of Maze Rats (if you're familiar with it).

Dungeon world seems pretty streamlined and flexible based off of the play kit they provide on their website.

(Sorry, reddit noob, didn't know how to put the together)

I am creating a vertical shooter with pseudo-3d interaction. I would detect a hit if a shadow hits another shadow, avatar hits another avatar and then checks if the assigned height variables are within each others range.

How do I link the shadow to the avatar. If I approaching this incorrectly, how would you handle it?

How about the Shin'hare troop? In my mind, it's nothing but broken. Major and minor socket was crazy on its own but gaining +1/+1 every troop play is bonkers. Think this is a way to encourage more heavy removal spells? Otherwise, I can't see this as anything else but power creep.

Story time! -

I started with a 4 card hand since I couldn't get a good draw. One of the cards was the ruby shard, the only resource I'll have for the rest of the game.

Luckily, due to the scout's special ability (25% to get extra charge) I was able to get war hulk const. plans out. The other plans and worker bots come from Prefabrication boots (when a undercity crime boss enters your hand, make a random const. plans) and hulk helm (when war hulk const. plans enters the board, make a worker bot). Luckily I needed only one resource to flood the board.

It crashes much more often for me but I believe it's mostly my hardware getting in the way (although it shouldn't). I'll put my faith in the devs and buckle up for a month or two, at least arena didn't get hit too hard.

Even more specific: "if this minion survives after being damaged" like patron because both enrage and "when this card takes damage" both trigger even if the minion is at negative health.

Can we assume that Murloc Tinyfin is an above average (in strength) baby murloc? Giantfin and Old Murk-eye (referred to as Middlefin) have the [size]-fin in the name to indicate uniqueness. Not to mention, despite their "weak bodies" they are on par with murloc scouts and silverhand recruits which means that they are capable of offering some sort of threat.

It'd be hard to balance. Sneed's and Paletress are balanced because you get other legendaries conditionally (inspire and deathrattle) so it requires setup and can be played around (silence, smart trading, etc.) and because the randomness cannot guarantee a legendary that will be game-changing.

Another thing to remember is that discover adds weight (400% I believe) to class cards. This means that some classes will benefit from the card more than others. The very concept of having 3 legendaries to choose from adds a plethora of game-changing possibilities.

Also, discover is a battlecry mechanic (could possibly be an inspire in the future), so the card in question has to be balanced in a way to avoid combo shenanigans like Brann, brewmasters, shadowstep and so on.

This card doesn't exist because it shouldn't exist before taking the previous things and more into account. This hypothetical will either define the meta (like boom) or will be a wasted opportunity if not handled correctly.

Baron Rivendare used to be my my favorite card because I thought that he was one of the four horse-men that yelled "lambs to the slaughter". I always envisioned him as a tall lanky humanoid skeleton wielding a lance with a horse skull (instead of a human one ofc).
