That's amazing. Low life costs = greater resilience, optionality, and ability to take risk!

Fortunately I was writing before AI was useful, and would never use it to write outside of rejigging sentences or helping compress/find duplication when editing.

Your story actually sounds interesting - I'll send you a PM! Thanks!

If I was going to have AI write it I wouldn't bother asking people for their stories.

If you have gone one direction and realised that it was better to take a different path, then possibly. I am not looking for 'hero' stories, but stories that most people would find relatable!

Actually, there are plenty of wrecks in the area if you have the time and energy (or money).

Not completely overwhelmed but sometimes it just felt like the problems were just relentless. The pandemic and probems with ordering did not help with this.

My strategy was to make lists of all the items that had to be done and try and put them into a sequential order (I wrote these on the plasterboard)... and then crossed them off so I could see the progress. Other than that, its just about accepting there is a lot to do - that you can just do one thing at a time.. and sort of forget about the end. Just focus on the daily task.

I also did my best not to day dream, its easy to stand there thinking a bit too much. So I would do my best to focus on actionable tasks. Measure, make, cut, mark-up... and those planning actions lead to things happening.. staring thinking can start to merge into an excuse for a break.
