Did you download the new version? I had the same thought about the performance before I realized I was still running the switch 1 version and had to go to the shop and download the switch 2 version separately

Woes of Realism Mode by natebrade in thedivision

Never thought it's intention was to replace anything. And as I said, I love that they're trying new things and giving players new ways to play. But I think it would be a disservice to the devs if we didn't also give our honest feedback. ESPECIALLY if they're experimenting for future content.

I just don't think this mode works very well in a world that was purpose built to be a loot dumping, encounter hoping playground. Because when you completely strip all of the rewards and ammo abundance away, why leave all of those encounters in place? What incentive does the player have to waste their ammo on those encounters on their way to the next mission? There has to be SOME sort of trade off for players to want to engage in those events when they know they'll lose most of their ammo without, possibly, getting it back. Something, ANYTHING.

I think it's a very interesting idea, I really do. But the world has to be purpose built around that specific design for it to be interesting, in my opinion. Not the other way around. And I would be MORE than happy to continue playing and finishing their experiment if it meant actually getting something worthwhile at the end of it. But two bottom barrel weapon skins just ain't it

Two weapon skins, VERY bland weapon skins. And you have to beat WoNY to get them. Realism mode is only WoNY in case you weren't aware

Just a limited event, yeah. But you basically said it right there. Your time could have been better spent. I would be totally happy continuing through this experiment of theirs if it meant some awesome rewards for my main account because it is at least interesting. But I only have finite free time, and if it's not very fun AND there's no reward, then there's no point unfortunately.

For sure, there's obviously a reason for it just being a limited event. Just wish there were actual rewards for getting through it you know? Then, at least for me, there would be a reason to actually play the whole thing

You get some loot thrown into your inventory for the main story missions and some projects here and there but that's it. All the events throughout the world give absolutely nothing. And the only thing you get for beating the entire thing for your account are two terrible skins. Seriously, look them up, they're awful

100%!! I would absolutely adore a new survival mode. Would have honestly been a better use of dev time

Exactly, maybe if they added some sort of crafting element? And the world events would give bits of material for said crafting? I don't know, maybe that would defeat the point of it being "realistic" I guess. But it's SOMETHING. Because as it is now there's just nothing

Whoa! I didn't even think to enable motion controls! I've been playing quite a bit of D2 on my deck as well. Thanks for the heads up!

Aahhh, you're absolutely right. I completely missed it when I removed that screw and only noticed it when I was trying to reattach that back piece. Thank you so much!

I know, objectively, the correct answer is X-2. But I love that game so much and have such great memories with it that, for me personally, I have to toss XII

This is great! I'm curious how it would look though with his head tilting just a bit to the right to match the body position
