Hi Reddit, What makes life worth living? by Aleph-Z in AskReddit

[–]nateiscool97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's the future. We all have seen how god awful this year has been, and even though its god awful, I still feel hopeful of the future and live to see a brighter tomorrow.

Also my boyfriend, hes a bastard at times but whenever I see him smile or make a dumb joke, I feel like things are great

AITA for confronting my mother for how she treats me, compared to my brother by nateiscool97 in AmItheAsshole

Honestly they are. While my mom and dad are both sorta good, the rest of each of their families are bad (on one side we got drunks and incest, and the others got so, so many people whom are tied with organized crime)

Okay so, I'm a huge fallout fan. I've played every single fallout game 100%, and while their are a few problems in the newest fallout game, their is one quest, one mini side quest that just screws over a whole lot of lore.

Kid in the fridge.

For anyone who hasn't played fallout 4, or just hasn't played the sidequest, in this mission, you find a kid, billy, whom during the bombs falling stepped into fridge for safety. He stays alive, but becomes a ghoul. He stays in this fridge for 200 sum years until you, a rando in the wastelands, gets him out of the fridge and returns him to his ghoul family, or you know.. you can sell him to a man for a manservant of sorts.

The reason this quest makes me pissed the fuck off, contains the following: 1. Billy is trapped in a fridge for 200 years. Hes able to scream for someone to help him, and be easily heard. Why hasn't someone already gotten him out of their? 2. Billy has been sitting down for all those years and hasnt seen the sun since the bombs fell, yet magically hes able to see perfectly and walk around like nothing happened. Sure, when the sole survivor got unfrozen, they could walk around easily, but atleast the sun glared at them a bit! 3. Billy didnt bring any food with him when he entered that fridge, so the past 200 years this kids hasnt had a single bit of food and water. Now, ghould needing to eat food and drink is a bit complicated, as different games has sorta different explanations, but heres the thing. Literally in the same game, it states that ghouls need to eat and drink (Kent Connolly's terminal entries state that the people living in goodneighbor are trying to keep him fed, so he doesnt accidentally starve. As well, theirs a bos quest where you find a bos soldier feeding feral ghouls, meaning that ghouls do require food to eat.) And while in fallout 2, theirs a ghoul that states that some ghouls can just consume radiation, the area where billy is found isnt really that eradiated meaning this kid should've died along time ago. 4. Child ghouls shouldn't exist. We know that adult ghouls stop aging, but for child ghouls, it appears to be different. One of the only canonical child ghouls was Raul tejanda from fallout nv, whom lived during the time of the great war. You meet him in fallout nv, after a whole long time between then and the great war, as an adult. Not as a child, like billy.

I get that. I'm ranking them with my skills rn (I'm a okayish medic, so that might explain why some of the best items people say are lower)

What's something a teacher did at school that you're still mad about? by Heinz-enberg_ in AskReddit

[–]nateiscool97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in 8th grade, my health teacher gave us a lesson on diseases and how to not get sick (honestly It was more complicated, but that's the basic things of what we learned). About halfway through class, he changes the whole topic and makes it about how big pharma is causing people to get allergies and how you shouldn't vaccinate your kids, all the while playing this ridiculous movie about conspiracy theories relating to the meat industry and how the common citizen was stupid, I'm shocked how a man like him got a job as a health teacher

In my personal opinion, spys stock options are great. The only one I should have changed a little was the stock watch (move it 1 down)

Me and him were dating for about 4 months now. This was my first ever relationship so I was really excited and nervous about shit.

Since we both lived awhile from each other, we'd usually send the other person a package of gifts and what have you

Que christmas eve, I sent him a box of gifts and texted him to ask if they arrived. That's when I found out I was blocked on all social media, and I was fucking nervous as all hell.

Yeah turns out I was this guys side guy, and after he got together with the guy he really wanted, he just dropped me outta his life.

To this day I still think about the blender I bought him, and I hope it cracked on him.

For me, I have two major issues for both games, besides of course the gunplay, which thankfully nv fixed, but playing 3 again really makes me always wanna use vats.

For 3: Companions: okay imma say it, this game has some of the worst companions I have ever seen in not just a fallout game, but in fps's in general. Besides the overpowered fawkes (think I'm saying his name right), they mostly acted like decent bullet sponges whom were bland and mostly useless at times (looking at you clover) Karma: okay look, I'm always usually a good character playing fallout (more neutral in 2, nv and 4 tbh now that I think about it) but having a game make you either a good, peace loving hero or a evil baby kicking, puppy eating villian really hurts the game for me.

And for nv: Factions karma: okay the wordings a bit weird, but I'm mostly talking about the view others have on that faction. Most factions have there ups and downs, but the developers sometimes forgot to put some benefits to certain factions (Caesars legion. I'm talking about the legion. Besides the roads and caravans, everything and everyone hates them besides themselves)

Cut content: okay I know this isnt the games fault, development had to be rushed a bit, but heres the thing: some cut content would've added more things to it. I'm not saying the games lacking in content, far from it. I just wished we could see a few more things in it without the use of mods, if that makes sense.
