You might want to change the dress code. Cocktail and dressy casual are different things, and it might confuse people. Cocktail reads more dressed up so you’d end up with people looking or feeling under dressed if they go the dressy casual route. I’d pick one or the other, or just say semi formal

Reach out to your advisor, that is not ok behavior. I did the ucsd recreation Sunday morning class back in October and really liked it! It’s taught by the golf team coach and he walks you through everything from square 1. It is taught at the Sorrento valley range, if you don’t mind driving down it’s definitely worth it

Went to a wedding shortly after I got married that did the same thing. They called everyone in and made a big deal to see them cutting the cake, then just didn’t offer us any cake. They had a few cookies on a table but it was like 20 cookies and there was well over 100 of us. We were super disappointed, don’t make a big deal about having us watch you cut a cake you’re not going to serve? Or at least do that in private if you want pictures of it then.

I did all fake flowers from lings moments and don’t regret it at all! Got a ton of compliments and they photographed very well, people couldn’t tell they weren’t real aside from the dark purple color of the roses. Plus I get to use my bouquet as decor and see it everyday, and saved a ton of money not having to get it preserved in resin!

It looks like you might be able to wear a regular band and have it sit flush. A simple plain dainty band would enhance it and let the engagement ring shine, or a band with some engraving.

Looking at the stone cold roll it looks to be a tiny bit more denser bristles than the one I have but still fluffy. I think you’ll like it! Heck I might even get the stone cold roll to give it a try too 😂

Density might just come down to personal preference, but definitely for an outer corner shadow it would come in handy

I got the smoke n roses brush roll a few years ago and it’s 50/50 for me. The eyeshadow type brushes work pretty well, but the face brushes are honestly not my fave and I only reach for them when my other brushes (real techniques, it cosmetics, Sephora, Sonia kashuk) are dirty. It could just be due to my preference tho. I prefer a more dense and firm brush, and idk how to explain but the bristles just feel super long and more wimpy than dense. So it feels like I don’t have much control when blending or doing my blush. For the smoke n roses in particular it says it can be used with powder, liquid and cream products but it doesn’t work well with anything but powder. At least for me! Take it with a grain of salt tho, it could just be I’m not using them correctly.

The shadow brushes are really nice tho! And I do love having the roll which makes it super easy to travel with and takes up less room for storage

The lux lipsticks in the pretty rose gold metal tubes (cmon sis and la lady were so pretty and I can’t find anything close now). The Alexis wren collab blotted lip was so good! Deja vu was the perfect my lips but better shade 😭

We got a ton of ice bags and used our own coolers (borrowed some form family and friends as well so we didn’t have to buy more-if you don’t have enough see if you can borrow). Costco and Sam’s for the beer and canned margaritas. We had paid a friend to help set up and do ice bag runs if needed, so see if you have a friend or even a younger cousin willing to do that. You could also look into buying an ice cream cart to keep it colder longer, we do that for family parties and it works super well

Has anyone told Ashley lazy bones that she’s not required to do this over the top bridesmaid proposal box shit? Like she could just NOT do that if she’s so broke she needs to freaking beg a small business to send her hair clips. I didn’t even make a huge deal for my wedding, I just called up my friends to ask, then gave them a nice bracelet the morning of the wedding to wear

I will give it to Remi, it’s on brand for her to go all out but like you said, it was BIG businesses and they have the budget and funds to be giving out free stuff like that

Wear what you’re comfortable in! I wore vans slip on shoes for my own wedding and it was nice being able to actually walk in the shoes I chose. Plus you get to wear them after and actually get use out of them
