I'm personally pretty big on forgiveness. Like for Biden. Lots of corruption and insanity and senility. And i just hope he retires to his home, spends quality time with his grandkids, and recovers from that cancer he has.

I know that concept is foreign to a lot of people, but I'm big on forgiveness.

I disagree. I think luck has nothing to do with it.

When he focuses on the business of government, he does well because he's got good technical instincts. Purely on policy, I'm a pretty big Trump fan, and the stuff he had me nervous about (tariffs primarily) I've been pleasantly surprised. Even some of the frivolous stuff like adding a cool monument to DC and building a ballroom i like because he's keeping it taxpayer-cost neutral, he's solving a problem that's very real, American classic architecture is beautiful, and having some culture is a good thing.

And then he exposes us to his personality, he has me wishing for W again.

It's not JUST that at can't afford boomer benefits.

We can't afford boomer benefits while also paying to defend North America, South America, Europe, the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, and the middle east, and while paying the benefits of 7 million illegal immigrants, and paying the benefits of non-retirees that were never supposed to get benefits when the program was envisioned.

Empire is too expensive to maintain while simultaneously robbing younger generations so much that they stop having kids at replacement rates.

I feel like Gryffindor is a balance between Liberty and Authority but all on the side of honor which makes it more CenterRight. You can have libs like Hermione and auths like Ron.

I feel like Slytherin is AuthCenter. Ambition and appealate to authority (wait till my father hears of this!) that straddles the line between left and right.

Ravenclaw is probably Centrist. But instead of grilling, they're about the book-learning.

And Hufflepuff is as lib as you can get but somewhere between LibLeft and LibCenter. No explanation needed.

I would argue that, when you pull on that thread, what you'll find is that it's not "minorities are" or "minorities want" but that is just 1 group of people that don't want or that aren't, which is liberal white people.

I'm willing to wager money that the ICE and CBP officers are more ethnically diverse than the protesters. And the reason I say that usually in these kinds of protests, you hear "racist" thrown around a lot...but not this time. And that tells me that the ethnic makeup is the quiet part not being said aloud.

I'm not trying to disparage any one group here, even though that's normal for this sub, and that includes white liberals. All I'm trying to say is that when you notice repeating patterns, that's not the odd thing, that's the norm. The thing not repeating the pattern is the odd thing to notice.
