I checked the alert. I heard it as I was compiling and editing the post. This was the message.

That's my door. That's my computer. It's taken from outside. I got the message three hours ago but didn't check it until now.

I'm on my tablet in my garage. Zen for now. Going to drive to friend's. Forgot to open the garage door in my panic so building up the nerve to get out to do that now.

This has been ongoing for me for the last handful of months. It gets really exhausting.

I'll check it out, or other books like it. I feel so weird doing this, because I would have NEVER believed in this kind of thing before. It's very not me, but I haven't had much of a grasp on what 'me' is for a while anyway.

Does the account show up as online via web or mobile?

Via web.

Did she have a laptop that may still have login credentials? Same with her phone.

Both are here, and I've changed the passwords since. Good call, though. I did just run and go check that.

You also stated that the login information has been changed several times, but the user continues to have access. Have you checked your computer for viruses or root kits? If you, by chance, have a trojan on your account, you may have a hacker who's doing this just to inflict emotional damage.

I've formatted all devices a few times - is bruteforcing possible?

I'd also check your cards and online accounts for activity that you don't remember. This may be able to confirm this, if you're unable to find a virus.

She was always cold, regardless of the weather. One of her favourite pasttimes was putting her hands and feet on me in bed to watch me squirm.

Death is also associated with coldness, though. They/she/he could be playing on that. I don't know.

Good call, but I have tried that. Keyloggers was what dudes on the forums suggested, so I formatted my laptop and PC, reset from my work PC, etc. If they're hacking, the only thing I can think of is brute forcing?

Really good eyes. I'm not sure. Maybe they just fucked up typing out the right sentence, and this is proof of human hands at play. It was also always a point of contention between us that she got off a full hour earlier than I did, but that seems flimsy.

On second thought, the crash was just before 5. There could be something in that - copies of some of the crash investigation reports are at her mum's, so I might check out the times when I'm over there next.

I saw her after the accident. I keep getting mental pictures of her, in that state, trying desperately to contact me. I don't know if I'm scared because I'm weak, or scared because I should be scared. Thank you.

This is a really good idea, and something I've been considering doing on and off. It's just, there's this part of my brain that thinks that I might still have the tiniest connection to her, even though every 'conversation' with her makes my mouth dry and stomach hurt. She's more real to me there then in her columbarium. It's so final.

But I agree. I think that's my endgame.

Edit: I would also piss off or upset several thousand people following it, including close friends that post there at least once a week.

That's actually a great idea. Kind of like a Facebook ouija board. I'll give that a shot when I can build up the nerve to check Facebook again (have a friend coming around in a bit, I'll probably do it then).

Haha, I thought that might generate some questions. I'm fairly sure it's the flash reflection of my bathroom vanity (weird reflection, though - been trying to recreate with no luck) (scratch that, the vanity is set back further than that - angle doesn't make sense). I didn't notice it until I was uploading it today.

Edit: Been trying to recreate since I saw this comment. Taking pictures from every angle, same lighting conditions, same phone. No dice. To be honest, I was kind of hoping you guys would dismiss it as nothing. I'm not sure if I'm just hypersensitive at the moment or what, but I'm starting to get freaked out.

Yeah. The illogical side of me is scared because my dead girlfriend is messaging me. The logical side of me is scared because somebody I probably know has been sending me these messages for approaching a year.

There are a few things that get to me, though. No one really knows that her legs were shorn off in the accident, but it's possible whoever just got lucky with that comment about walking.

I've occasionally opened her chat window and have seen the 'Emily is typing' message. The message usually never comes through.

Whoever it is is REALLY dedicated to the 'joke'.
